Khushi entered to her bedroom where Aarush was asleep, emotionally and physically drained. She was overwhelmed with pain. Tears stung her eyes as Arnav's words washed over her yet again. She couldn't believe they were indulged in a blame game few minutes ago. They didn't argue on what is wrong and what is right but they fought on who is wrong and who is right. She pulled a sleeping Aarush near her and didn't realise when she dozed up.

Arnav sat with a thud on the bed. He realised everything that had happened was because of him. He always messed up. She was tired of proving her love for him, every time. Again, it was his fault. Again, Khushi had suffered because of him. Because of his mistakes.

Arnav walked out to the most beautiful scene he had laid his eyes on in last five years. He stood at the door of the room and see his son sleeping adorably with his mother. Their slight snores reached Arnav's ears and an unknown smile crept on his lips.

He moved inside gazing at the adorable sight and didn't realise his hand hitting the vase and it falling down. It broke into pieces breaking Khushi's sleep. Both Khushi and Arnav looked at the vase first, then towards Aarush. His snoring had stopped but he was still asleep. They then looked at each other. Arnav stood there as his eyes were trapped in the beautiful pools of hazel that stood across from him. Khushi didn't move, yet her breathing increased speed. Aarush snored again which caused her to break out of the trance she was immersed in.

Khushi had forgotten how it felt to be admired by him. She felt the her cheeks grow warm as the blood rushed to colour them behind her skin.

"Kh..Khu.. Khushi..." He struggled to speak.
She looked up slowly trying to decipher the thoughts that hid in his chocolate eyes. There was something that kept flashing through his eyes though. A sort of uncertainty, or was it regret? Khushi furrowed her brows as she tried to read his eyes.
"Khushi, I'm... I'm sorry for everything, I was... just... I'm sorry," This sorry was nothing in comparison to the list of things he had to apologize for, but Arnav felt it was a start. "And also for shouting at you earlier. I don’t know what else to say right now."
Khushi realized that this sorry was a genuine one. It had always been genuine, whenever he apologized. He had always meant it.

She looked as Arnav moved towards Aarush and sat beside him. He reached down and placed a kiss on top of his son's forehead. Khushi dropped her eyes as tears sprang into her eyes. She quickly blinked them away.

She slowly made her way towards Arnav and Aarush, and on Aarush's other side.

"Our son is beautiful Khushi," Arnav said in a lighter tone. "My hair, your eyes, my nose and your beautiful smile."

Khushi smiled at his words. As Arnav's eyes were filled with love, Khushi saw the first hint of the man she had fallen in love with a long time ago.

"Thanks for naming him Aarush." Arnav said looking into her eyes. He remembered once telling her that he wanted to name their daughter Arshi and if they had son, Aarush.

"Don't be mad, Arnav." Khushi said as she kept her hand in his. "I didn’t even had a second thought on that."

Arnav and Khushi didn't know what struck them. They froze like electric current pass through their spine as their bodies came into contact, like always. Unspoken desires, regretful mistakes, unsaid forgiveness, and a hidden love all exchanged between them. Silently. Slowly. Simply unspoken. Only through their eyes.

Khushi stared into his eyes so longingly, yet lessons from the past held her back. It would be more than easy to forgive him right then and there and to move on, but that should not happen. She could see his eyes filled with emotions but she couldn’t point on which ones. Perhaps in these years, she had forgotten the art to read his eyes that she mastered on.
Arnav was trapped in the gaze of Khushi's hazel eyes. He saw her ever forgiving nature slowly creep into her eyes. Yet suddenly it was gone. Replaced with the pain of what experience had taught her. Their eyes were a reflection of each others'. There was guilt, sorrow, and regret in his and there was fear, love, and pain in hers. Yet they both only showed pain. Because that's what they had caused each other. She wanted to erase that pain from his eyes. He wanted to be the part of her broken soul. She was silent but he could hear the screams of her heart.

Khushi pulled her hand back got up from the bed, awkwardly and stood in front of the mirror. He followed her like a predator cornering his prey, and caged his arms around the mirror, making her look up at the reflection they made. His eyes were epitome of hunger, passion and desire, she didn't know how long he would hold on now.

He moved as close as he could, his own chest touching her back. His hands snaked around her, still transfixed into the mirror, he slowly and deliberately grazed every inch of her skin to make her come to the same temperature he was. He entwined his fingers into the soft ones she had. She realised her breathing getting heavier and she, going weak on her knees.
