Reaching the building, Y/n walks up the stairs stopping at her front door.

Her eyebrows furrow when she sticks the key in and the lock turns as if the door is already unlocked. Her stomach drops as her heart beat accelerates. She hesitates before using her trembling hand to slowly open the door. She reaches in and flips the light switch on.

Her jaw drops at the sight of her apartment. Her living room and kitchen are completely trashed. The furniture is turned over, placed in random areas of the room as if someone threw it around. The wall's paint has been scratched, her appliances lying all around the floor. Picture frames slammed against the floor, glass shards lying every which way. She walks deeper into the apartment, grabbing a kitchen knife as she made her way to the hall, goosebumps all over her as she breathes heavily.

She peeks in her bathroom, switching the light on as she eyes the torn shower curtain. Her mirror is broken, glass shards dangerously lying on the tile, waiting for someone to walk on and cause damage. She continues to her bedroom, quickly switching the light on as she eyes the mess.

Cotton from her pillows lie around the room, her covers piled every which way, a long with her torn mattress, springs and stuffing lying on the broken bed frame. Her windows completely ruined as the night's breeze blew the cotton around her room.

Her throat burns as a lump forms, tears of anger falling as she drops to her knees, not caring for the glass or the mess as her hands cover her eyes when she drops the knife.

I know insurance will cover the damages but what about my personal items? I can't afford to replace all this shit. This is so fucking inconvenient and now I have to call the cops when I don't even like them.

Suddenly, her phone buzzes. She ignores it and dials for the police.

After the phone call, the dispatcher informs her that they are on the way, but to keep her on the phone until an officer is on the scene. She keeps her phone on speaker as she responds to Carter's message.

Y/n: i won't be able to smoke tn someone broke into my place and trashed my shit completely bro :(

'Read 7:45 p.m.'

She backs out of her messages and walks to the living room, the police sirens becoming closer as they pulled into the apartment complex, along with an ambulance.

After the police enter the premises and she explains what's going on, a familiar silver - head walks into the doorway, one of the cops not letting him by. Y/n sees this and walks forward, explaining how she knows him and she walks past the cop outside.

"This shit is so crazy." She couldn't help but allow the tears to flow. "Why would someone do this?"

"People are crazy. Did they find them?" He questions, stoic expression on his face, though his tone held little concern.

"No. I literally can't even think who'd go this far. And for what? I don't even know anyone. It doesn't even look like they stole anything." She complains, rubbing her eyes.

He pulls her into a hug.

"It's not really safe for you to stay here. Do you want to stay at the mansion for a while?"

She pulls away, disbelief filling her gaze.

"With the way Devon literally hates me and Amie, who's probably there all the time, acts disgusted with my presence? How is that a good idea?" She questions, her hands hitting her thighs when they drop.

"They don't hate you. They're just weird. I already told them about this anyway so you're okay. Grab some bags." He responds.

"How long am I even allowed to stay over? Won't it be weird?" Her anxiety is heightened, everything telling her this isn't a good idea, yet what else can she do? She doesn't know anyone as much as them and have only met Rashad's crew today. She could go to a hotel, but that would be expensive.

"No. You can stay however long you need to, it's too dangerous to stay here."

Staring at the floor in contemplation, she finally decides to comply.
