Grant and Candice have been "best friends" since their break up 2 years ago, and they are both "over" each other until certain events make them realize that they can't be bestfriends anymore.
Candice's POV I wake up in the morning to see Grant wasn't there, I get up to go to the bathroom when I saw a note on the nightstand ("had an amazing time last night brb") I smile and then go take a shower, last night was amazing.
Grant's POV I woke up before Candice and decided to get ready when I got a text from LA to meet her in the downstairs cafe. I didn't really want to go, but I guess she deserves some closure before she leaves. I can also bring Candice breakfast in bed when I am done with this. I write Candice a note so she doesn't worry and head downstairs. L: "hey" G: "ugh hey" This is gonna be awkward. L: "I just wanted to apologize about all the things I said yesterday, especially about Candice" G: "it's ok, C isn't one to hold grudges" L: "yeah, honestly I don't know why I didn't like her, I guess I was just jealous of how much you cared about her" G: "yeah I'm sorry too, I didn't mean for you to find out that way" L: "it's ok it probably was for the best" G: "what do you mean" L: "If we are being honest we both weren't over our ex's and just moved on because we had no choice but to" G: "yeah I get that" L: "I think the real reason I was so jealous of Candice is because you looked at her the same way I looked at Garret every time I saw him." G: "yeah I guess we both made mistakes" L: "yeah after last night I told Garret that I was single and he wants to get back together" G: "that's good I really hope he brings you the joy you deserve" L: "yeah me too, same goes for you and Candice I really hope things go well with y'all and y'all enjoy being new parents" G: "thank you, I guess we can both post something about us breaking up so we can both move on in peace" L: "yeah I'll make sure it's clear it was a mutual decision" G: "yeah me too, I'm really glad we got to talk but I have to go finish packing" I get up to walk away L: "wait one more thing" G: "yeah" L: "you think we could still be friends" G: "I would like that" I walk away with a smile on my face as I go grab breakfast for C and I and head back upstairs. When I make it in the room, I set the food on the table and head to the bedroom where I hear the shower going, music blaring, and C singing. She is so cute. While she is in the shower, I decide to post about the break-up.

Grant's POV I disable the comments because I didn't want anyone to spread negativity
Candice's POV I get out of the shower, put my hair in a messy bun, put on my comfy sweat suit for the flight back home, and pack up my toiletries. I walk out of the room to find Grant on his phone, waiting for me with breakfast. C: "hey handsome, where were you this morning" G: "oh yeah, I went and had a conversation with LA before she left" C: "how did it go" I asked as I sat down G: "pretty well actually she apologized for all the stuff she said, and admitted breaking up was for the best because she was still in love with her ex. C: "wow anything else" G: "yeah she said she wished us well, hoped that we enjoy being parents, and that she hoped we could still be friends which I agreed to" C: "that's good I'm glad she doesn't hate us" G: "yeah she took it very well also one more thing" C: "what" G: "go look at my instagram" I get a little nervous because I don't know what he posted. I go to his account, and to my surprise, I see that he posted his break-up. I don't know why, but I started crying, happy tears. I think I'm just really hormonal. G: "why are you crying" C: "I don't know my hormones are just all over the place I'm really happy you did it though" G: "yeah me too, you are the most adorable pregnant woman I know" C: "that was so sweet" I start crying even more. Grant gets up and walks towards me and squats down. G: "I love you" he says to my belly before kissing it and then stands up and kisses me. G: "and I love you" C: "I love you too" it seems like he just wants me to cry. He walks away and grabs our bags, and puts them by the door. I wipe my face, make sure we grab everything, and we head out to our cars and head to the airport.
