Chapter 27: An Act

To say mine and Alessia's relationship was at the breaking point was an understatement, yet we are still going to her family's for Christmas

Your probably wondering how it's got to this point?

I'd say lack of communication, lack of love towards each other and plenty of arguments

Ever since less found out about the police doing nothing about her case she's been completely off, keeping an acted up for our teammates but dropping once she's home with me.

"You and Alessia don't seem close anymore" Beth said as I lifted some weights

She was right, we use to be stuck by each others side, less constantly pulling me out of trouble or stopping me before I started something, keeping me calm...but now she couldn't stay further away from me if she tried and I don't want to go chasing after her because that seems like I'm being really clingy, right? Her being away from me has resulted in me getting in trouble by the staff a few time and from Kim too... I mean it's not her fault it's mine but she always knew how to keep me under control.

Our physical touch has gone down to near zero amount, I'd use to always have an arm around her shoulder or she'd be holding onto my arm. Now I'm lucky to even get a hug out of her.

Her wearing my jumpers isn't a thing anymore.

Using each others phones freely has turned into asking to go on each others.

Some nights I've gone back to my own apartment unless it's very late and she's said no point going home so we've shared a bed but had a huge gap in between us

Watching a movie and cuddling has turned into just watching a movie.

You get my point...

"Yeah I don't know... tough situation" I sighed dropping the weights

"What's happened?" Beth asked carefully

"Main thing is probably us arguing" I shrugged

I'd need two sets of hands to count how many arguments me and less have had in the last two weeks.

Nearly 20 arguments in the last 14 days... that's not health right?

Problem is we don't sort and resolve the problems we just act like they never happened after a few hours of ignoring each other

"I think we are both stubborn" i said to Beth

"Only way you can change the relationship and make it better is if you change...forget about her being stubborn if you change it, it will show you care and want to make the relationship work. Show her you want to resolve the arguments and show her the love she's, and you, have been missing... maybe that's what she wants to see... that fight from you to prove you want this relationship to work out" Beth said

I'd happy drop my stubbornness if it meant that less and I would go back to the way we were before.

Today less and I are driving to a house the Russos have rented out for us all to stay in for Christmas

'I'm on my way' less sent me a message

I picked up my suitcase and bag of presents and made my way to the front door

Placing everything into the car and waiting for less to turn up

Once she turned up I got out my car and opened the boot for her, she placed her things in and then went to the passengers side of the car
