Chapter 29: Maybe for the Good

I sighed as I walked into the training ground on my crutches, 6 weeks out because of that man.

Katie and viv walked over to me

"Shit how long you out for" Katie asked

"6 weeks" I said

"Can't believe your dad did that to you" viv said

It's gone viral on the internet, I don't know what's happened with my dad... probably not much. Someone filmed the incident and posted it on social media

"I can, he's never changed" I shrugged as I walked into the changing rooms

"How long you out" Kim asked

"6 weeks"

It was starting to really annoying with all the questions about the incident

Arsenal are gonna post something about it so hopefully everyone can stop asking me that question or different questions that are similar

I walked over to Alessia's cubby and sat down, letting my knee rest

"Arsenal have suggested something for me" i said as she put her training kit on

"Oh yeah what's that" Alessia asked looking down at me

"I go work in the academy while I'm injured, work with some of the younger groups" I said

Alessia liked the idea and thought it would be a good way to keep me occupied

The girls went out for training while I sat on the sofa near the entrance on my phone

The door opened to the entrance, I looked up and was met by a familiar face

"Georgia?" I said shocked slowly standing up and making my way over to her

"How's your knee" she asked hugging me

"Alright, out for six weeks" I shrugged

"Shouldn't you be in Germany?" I asked

"Nope" Georgia smirked before been taken to Jonas's office

It was all making sense now, Georgia is gonna be a gunner

I waited for them to finish there talk, Georgia and the media crew came out of the room

"Fancy helping us out" the media guy asked me

I nodded

"Right we need to film Georgia walking around the stadium getting a tour, we were gonna use the kit man but since your here we will use you"

"More funnier anyways" I teased as the kit man walked passed

"Sure you are Harley" he laughed

We started the video with me doing an introduction

"Ello gunners! Today we have a special guest joining us. This guest loves to pick up yellow cards and loves to try snap peoples legs... no it isn't Katie McCabe...it's Georgia Stanway!!" I said as Georgia walked into the frame of the camera and laughed while waving at the camera

"You might see that she's got a different badge on today... that is because she's a gooner... quickly becoming the dirties team in the league now" I joked tapping the badge on her top

I started showing her around while asking questions

"How does it feel knowing your playing on the same team as Katie McCabe" I asked making Georgia laugh

"Excited, think she's a great player and a huge asset to the club" Georgia said

"Yeah bet you two will bond with each other very well" i rolled my eyes laughing

"How does it feel to be back in the wsl"

"Good can't wait to prove myself in different colours"

We stop at the training pitches

"You'll be doing this in a few days time" i said pointing to the pitch where the players were been run ragged

"Can't wait" Georgia said sarcastically

"Bet you can't" I teased

The video soon came to an end and then she got sent to the emirates to get photos done for the contract signing

They came back and I got dragged into doing her announcement video for her

It was a skit I had to do and then she would walk into the camera frame and shrug

We had one practice take before going into the real thing

"Now I'm out for 6 weeks I need someone to replace me... someone who can really do my job" I said

They then would edit some clips in of my tackles and goals scored

"I wonder who that could be" I said before walking out of the camera shot

Georgia walked in to the camera shot with her arsenal top on and shrugged before walking away from the camera

It was meant to be a funny short clip so they didn't go to loads of trouble to make a huge introduction for Georgia

Arsenal fans would find it funny but i recon other fans from clubs will have a saying in it about talking about dirty players.

Really they need to get a grip. Straight up they do. Nothing wrong with a yellow card here and there.

Of course Georgia wasn't replacing me but since i was out injured it played well with the idea.

We got told it would be announced tomorrow and that Georgia would need to try stay away from the public to avoid been spotted

The transfer would take people by surprise as even the big media outlets didn't know this was happening

I walked back into the changing room at the same time as the girls did

"Was that a Georgia Stanway I saw while training" Katie asked me

I nodded laughing

Leah was shocked, she had no idea her mate has joined us

"No way G is a gunner" she said excitedly, pulling out her phone to FaceTime Georgia

Georgia answered the call with her arsenal top on

"Alright mate" she teased as she saw Leah's shocked expression

They talked for a while before we all headed home

"Alessia I'm leaving" I shouted as I put my shoes on

"Okay, when will you be back" Alessia asked

"Probably around 9" I shrugged

One of the coaches from the academy was gonna take me and bring me back making it easy for me

The girls at the academy were shocked and excited, we had a good training session, spending some time at the end to take photos

I told them I would be training them for 6 weeks

They all asked for me to come back every now and then after the six weeks which I promised I would

I thanked the coach for driving me home, I unlocked the door and walked into the living room, where Alessia was

"How was that?" Alessia asked

"Good, kids were shocked" I laughed

I couldn't help but think that this injury maybe be for the good... yes I was missing time out of football but I got to help the academy for a while and also just take some time away from football.

' Harley Brown has suffered an injury to her knee, setting her out for 6 weeks

We know that most people saw the video, Harley has asked for people to respect her privacy, she didn't want people to find out she dislocated her knee that way but because a video got sent around social media she hasn't had that choice to keep it private or not

Harley will be working with the girls academy while she's away recovering from her injury.
