It was a bright morning day, birds chirping, and the snow glistened off the bright sun. I yawned and flung my legs over the covers.
My feet felt the coldness of the hardwood floor. I rubbed my tired eyes and got up. I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair
"Breakfast!" Someone's voice bounced off the walls up the stairs. I rushed down the creaky stair. As I walked in the kitchen , a plate on the table waited for me.
I sat down and started eating. "Hey," Reece said, grabbing my attention. She pointed her head to the coffee table, As I looked in the direction her head was pointing, an envelope was sitting flat on the table.I turned it over and opened it, it said,
Dear Miss Eliadam, 1773-12-16
This letter is very important, one, to send you tickets, and as a warning.
The British is taxing the Colonies, and earlier today they threw tea in the harbor, and I need your help, as well as your maid, Reece Dunfound. Please, come quickly. I'll explain everything when you get hereAll is well,
William C, Clamlard"I looked in the envelope, and money and tickets awaited me, they were boat tickets. "Reece?" I asked. "Yes ma'am?" She looked at me. "Want to go to Boston with me?"
She looked at me confused and laughed. "In the Colonies?" I reminded her, just incase she didn't know."Oh Miss Eliadam! You're funny!" She stopped to laugh, then she continued, "We don't have enough money! And besides! You have everything here darling!"
I signed. "Please?" I whispered. She walked up to me, and she gripped my shoulders, "Oh darling! You don't need to go anywhere near Revolution."
I shrugged, throwing her hands off my shoulders. "Sorry Reece." I politely said and held up the money and tickets. "Am I going alone?"
