Zavan's Pov...

I was walking down the icy streets of Boston. Most people took wagons- but when you're saving up, it's to much, even for a little ride. Once I arrived at the small coffeehouse, I opened the door as the bell rung the man looked at me. "How may I help you miss?" he sighed- annoyed almost. I seemed to daze at the menu. "Ma'am?" I shuttered back to reality- " Oh yes! Just 5 coffees please. And also 3 bread loafs." He glared at me, "I see your husband has an office party?-" I glared back at him- It was awkawrd just to look act eachother in the eyes. He ended it- "Okay. A $1.2-" He paused, "With the Sugar Act- Your price is 1.30."

What was the "Sugar Act" ?

I ignored it and payed the large fee. "That will be right out.- Can I have a name?" - " No." He grinned- not pleased- "It will be done in 5 Miss, No." He smiled-and I glared , a pattren. I sighed- relieved it was over. I turned my back to the counter and looked around the small coffeehouse. Men huddled in groups to disscussing morals and just what was happening.

I looked around for an open spot for me to sit- Once I found one by a wooden rack of phamplets. I picked up one and looked at the price. Then I noticed a large stamp that was by the price. "10 pennies?" I whispered to myself. The price of the phamplets went up 2 times as much as they were last month.

"Ahem! Order for... No?"

The bartenders voice echoed through the room. I walked up and grabbed my stuff. "Hey. Can I buy this too?" I asked- being more respectful. "10 cents." I handed him the money and left.

As I got further away from the small coffeehouse, and held the smoking hot coffee and muliti-tasked by also reading the small story in the phamplet. The cold snow fell onto my face and got the phamplet slowly wet. "Ugh!" I said sharply. I put the phamplet in my pocket as I walked closer to work

I walked in to the worked base and smiled at the front desk people. "Hello!" I said kindly. "Oh my favorite part of the morning-" One of them said- a unfased tone in his voice. I laughed and handed the two their own coffee. "I cound get used to this. Thanks!" One of them smiled, "Have a good day you two!" I yelped walking down to Mr. Clamlards office.

I opened the door and William Clamlards head shot up. "Zavan! Hello!" He smiled. I handed him the coffee and a loaf of bread. "Thank you!" I laughed. "Anyways- Do you know where General is???" "Where he always is!" He smiled once more and got back to work.

I walked down to the court-yard. The solider all lined up once more- with rustic muskets and freezing hands. The General saw me and smiled. I handed him his coffee and bread. "Well thank you!" He held both of my hands- his hands were red and freezing also. "Oh yeah!" I grabbed the phamplet and handed it to him- "It's yours- keep it, also I have a question.... What is that stamp. I also got a "Sugar Act" On the coffee and bread?" He sighed. "Even before you came to the colonies, the British have not only taxed us of our tea- up also our foreign good and other papers. I expected you to know?" there was a little pause-

"Well William always pays for my goods and stuff- which is so kind of him and I work to pay it off- so uh I guess I never learned that-" I chuckled jokingly.
He sighed. "Oh Zavain. " He put his hands on my shoulders. "You have so musch you need to learn- You also have so much ahead of you." He mumbled his lines. And then embraced me. "Be careful..."
