Zavan's POV...I got off the wagon, stretching my back, arms and legs. The wagon ride lasted 3 hours, so the pay would be sharp, I went to the front of the wagon where the driver was sitting.
"$60.93 please." I smiled and handed the old fellow $70. He grabbed the tip of his hat and nodded as a thank you. To which I replied with a bow, and he was on his way.
The moment the horse and wagon were pulled out of my sight, and the tip tap of the horse's shoe faded. I did see Boston covered with soliders, some tall, some short. Some young, and some old. Sometimes other people pass by. Yellow, Blue, Magenta dresses all walking down with sometimes fine men. And others.. In a group of women or by themselves.
The dock leading it's way to the harbor was closed off by British soliders, blue coats one one side. And my best guess, red coats on the other. I tapped on one of a tall soliders back.
He had dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. His coat matched his eyes pretty well. "Yes?" He asked me as he turned his head towards me. "Im looking for Mr. Clamlard. I was sent here by his letter." I gave the letter to him, thinking that mattered. He inspecteded it. "Of course, this checks out. Let me lead you to the Harbor Shack." He took me hand and walked me over the the "Harbor Shack."
"Thank you," I said as we walked up to the low padio. "My honor, Miss Eliadam." He did the same as the wagon driver, he grabbed the tip of his hat and nodded. I just gave him a simple smile and walked in. "Hello!" I said to the front desk men. "Yes, what can I help you with?" One of them sighed, lifting up their head to talked to me.
I cleared my throat and said, " Im looking for uh.. Clamlard? Mr. Clamlard." I once again handed him the paper. "Right down the hall. Office 12." He sighed once more and I decided just to go.
I headed to office 16, Holding my bag tight. I knocked on the door and opened it. "Mr. Clamlard?" My voice echoed. "Ah! Miss Eliadam! So glad to see you!" He inspected me , and behind me and then the hall. "Where is Reece?" He looked at me confused. "Well, she wasn't up and the boat wasn't going to hold on me probally. So I just.. Left." He closed his eyes in dispointment. "It's fine. We only need one anyways."
He latched us together by sliding his arm through mine. We began walking down the hall. "Where are we going?" I said quietly. "You are going to meet the offices General!" He yelped.
