Chapter 29

"Hey I prepared a bath for you," Minji said softly, "The water is nice and warm..... maybe after bath you could eat something?"

Hanni shook her head.

They were currently in Yoongi and Mai's house in the room where Hanni was staying in. Mai was keeping herself busy, trying her best not to break down. She was with Kazuha organizing the funeral. Emma was taking care of Aiden, and keeping him away from all the sadness.

It had been almost a week since the day of Yoongi's passing.

And Hanni was devastated. These past few days had been extremely hard on her. She barely talked, she barely ate. She's either crying or clinging on to Minji but most of the time, it was both.

"Baby," Minji said softly.

"I'm not hungry," Hanni mumbled. It was so soft and barely audible.

"You may not be hungry but you have to eat something, please," Minji begged.

Hanni shook her head.

Minji let out a sigh, "Well at least let's get you bathed okay? You haven't showered since....."

Hanni turned to look at Minji. Her eyes were bloodshot red, they were also puffy and she also had huge bags under her eyes.

"Since my dad died," Hanni finished and the tears began to flow again.

Damn it, Minji thought. She felt so bad she brought it up.

Without another word, Minji scooped up Hanni as she continued to cry. She made her way to the bathtub and began to remove Hanni's clothes. Hanni on the other hand remained immobile, she made no move to help Minji, she didn't even make a move to wipe her tears away.

Hanni was so broken inside, she honestly didn't know what to do with herself.

This felt similar to what she felt when Minji got shot, except way worse. The only comfort she had then was that she knew Minji was still alive.

"Let's get you in baby," Minji said softly.

Minji once again carried Hanni and placed her in the water. She kneeled beside the bathtub, grabbed one of the cloths and she began to bathe Hanni.

It truly broke her heart to see Hanni like this. The fact that she was too devastated to even bathe herself was just heartbreaking.

But Minji didn't mind, she wanted to be here for Hanni. She wanted to be her rock.

Even though everything Yoongi had said was right. Once he was gone, Hanni was definitely going to need her. Though it was hard to say where they both stood in their relationship and right now was nowhere near a good time to ask. She just needed to be there for Hanni.

As Minji continued to bathe Hanni, she noticed how the tears kept on running down her cheeks. She set the wash cloth down, and with her hand she wiped her tears away. She leaned over and kissed the side of Hanni's head, at this point Hanni began to sob again. Minji wrapped her arms around her and pulled her in, holding her tight, she didn't care that she was all wet now. Tears were beginning to form in her eyes, her heart clenched for Hanni.

After a moment, Hanni controlled her sobs and Minji cleaned up her face. She finished bathing Hanni, and soon after that she pulled Hanni out of the water. After drying her up, she helped Hanni get dressed, this was a step forward, Hanni actually made an effort to get dressed.

Minji went over to her duffle bag and she changed to dry clothes. This was her second duffle bag she had sent here from the estate. Ever since she met Hanni by the hospital, she only left her side to check on Aiden but that was it. She had Emma prepare at least three duffel bags for her and had them sent to the Pham's household.
