The rest of the movie was pretty much Ponyboy, Johnny, and Two-bit telling me anything and everything. Johnny was a little more quiet than the other two. My only problem was getting home safely.

Tulsa was not exactly the safest place to walk alone at night. I usually had my switchblade on me but tonight I thought I would have a ride.

I wound up at the diner where I worked since it was always open. It also had a phone on the wall that was free to employees. I started putting in Buck Merrills number knowing Cam was probably there. I was right once I heard his voice come through the phone after Buck called him over.

"Cam, are you sober enough to come pick me up?" I asked knowing he most likely wasn't.

I heard him sigh on the other end as he started to speak, "Im sorry Ellie, Im already a few too many drinks in to drive." It was a dumb idea calling him anyways.

"It's ok, I have my switch," I lied, "I love you, bye."

"I love you, be safe," He finished before hanging up the phone. I was starting to regret not taking up Ponyboys offer to walk me home.

It was getting late so I had to start walking at some point. Thankfully no one had paid attention to me and I was only a few blocks away from home. But something shiny caught my eye in a bush. I was looking over trying to see what it was when I heard a voice. I whipped my head around only to see Dallas standing right behind me.

"You can't be sneaking up on me like that!" I whisper shouted. It spooked me half to death, had my heart pounding an' everything. He just chuckled and took a step towards the bush.

"What is it your looking for?" he questioned while peering his head over the bush. I wasn't sure myself what it was but I wasn't sure I wanted to find out.

"There was something shiny in the bush." He looked at me funny but continued eyeing the bush. It was suprising to see Dallas acting normal for a change.

He spotted the same shiny thing I had seen except he had reached in to grab it. Carefully he pulled out his arm a lighter in his hand. I took it out of his hand to flip the top open lighting it at the same time. The glow illuminated my face causing a warm feeling to spread over my face. I loved fire, like the feeling of watching the fire dance so elegantly was mesmerizing. I looked back up at Dallas only to see him already looking at me.

His eyes were beautiful, a darker brown but not dark enough to be black. I studied his face taking every inch in as he did the same. He had pale skin but it had a small tan. It wasn't pale enough to be colorless but it wasn't quite to the point of being tan.

I watched as the glow danced around his face lighting it up in just the right spots. I couldn't get enough of him.

He had high cheekbones and pink lips. His face was gorgeous, he was gorgeous. I could've looked at him forever and I would have if I blew out the lighter.

His eyes drew down from my face to my finger that was being burnt to a crisp. Weirdly I didn't feel it,  though it was probably because I was too focused on his face.

He grabbed the lighter from my hand closing it. I looked at my hand and finally realized that it would start to blister. It didn't hurt though, probably 'cause I burnt off the nerves on my finger.

"How far away are we from your house?" I wasn't sure I wanted him to know where I lived but he would've followed me anyways.

"A few blocks, why?" I was pretty sure I knew the reason but I wanted to be sure. I knew my parents weren't home as it was only 9 and they worked 'til 11 every night.

Once we made it to my house I noticed my brothers car was gone. It was probably good that he was gone 'cause he doesn't like when i'm with a boy. He isn't much older than me but he treats me like i'm 13 when i'm almost 18.

I started walking towards the front door noticing Dallas was still standing there. He was looking at me with something in his eye I couldn't quite understand.

"You comin' or what?" I knew it wasn't the best idea to have Dallas inside but my life was boring sometimes so why not. He motioned for me to sit on the kitchen counter while he searched the      cupboards for god knows what. He found what he was looking for and grabbed a glass out. He started filling it up with cold water but he looked so hot.

I was still staring when he walked back over standing in between my legs and slowly submerging my blistering thumb into the water. It amazed me how he could go from shameless flirting to silently caring for me.

He was a mystery.
