Elizabeth

Ponyboy and Johnny told me to meet them at Buck's tonight. Since my brother was going I walked with him. I had a less showing outfit today wearing a little bit longer tight jean skirt and a tank top that went a few inches above my belly button. I wore the same leather jacket but kept it on this time.

The place looked familiar realizing this is where Dally took me one night. I was too drunk last time to realize where we were.

Once I saw Ponyboy and Johnny I waved with a smile on my face excusing myself away from Cam. They lead me inside after greeting me and vice versa.

Throughout the night I danced, drunk, talked, and made eye contact with Dally about 100 times.

"Is there something going on between you and Dally?" Me and Johnny were at a table talking.

"No, just friends." He looked skeptical as I said that but continued on with our previous conversation. I was wasted and didn't plan on stopping any time soon.

"Can I hava club sofa?" I slurred as I sat down. The music and red lights were starting to make my head hurt.

"Before I give you that eat something," a young bartender said as he pushed a small bowl of crackers towards me.

"Do I have tooooooo?"

"No, but it will make you feel a little better in the morning," he said laughing lightly.

"I will if ya tell me your name."

"Matt, now eat up."

"You're pretty," I giggled as he blushed a little.

"I could say the same about you."

"I'm Elizabeth." He smiled a little more but soon stopped peering behind my shoulder. I turned around to see Dally behind me.

"How much have you drank?"

"Not toooo much," I giggled. He crossed his arms knowing I was lying. Matt slid my drink across the counter before talking to someone else. I started eating some crackers and reached to grab my drink until it was pulled away.

"No more drinking," He said holding it above his head leaving me jumping to try and grab it. I stood on the chair almost grabbing it. I soon went  towards the ground since the chair swiveled. I smacked my head on the floor, Dally crouching to the floor.

"This is why you don't drink so much. Let me take you home."

"No, leave me alone," I argued as I tried to stand up, the pounding in my head worse than before. Tears started streaming down my face. Drinking usually made me happy but too much made me overly emotional. Dally wouldn't let up, not even when Cam came over.

"Ellie what the fuck did you do?" Cam questioned.

"It was his fault," I said sticking my finger at Dally.

"Was not, I was trying to get her to stop drinking," Dally protested trying to convince Cam more than me.

"You're going home Ellie."

"No, Cam I wanna stay!" At this point we were yelling at each other. It was loud enough to get a few people looking over. My head was pounding harder and harder. I saw Matt walk over and he slowly guided me to a small sofa on the other side of the room.

"Are you okay?" He was the first person to ask me this. He had dirty blonde hair and light brown eyes. His face was soft and more gentle looking. Almost the exact opposite of Dally.

"My head hurts," I pouted giggling a little at the same time. Matt chuckled sitting beside me.

3rd Person

Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, Dallas had been eyeing her and the bartender. He knew he liked her, he just wasn't ready to admit that yet. He had only known her for less than a week, which could make him seem like a creep to her. There was also her rule that would put a block on anything he tried anyways.

She had finally started calling him Dally and now she was mad at him and with another guy. Cam went off to chat up a girl hoping for something more than just talking.

Dallas didn't know all that much about her and maybe it's what made him keep coming back. He wished they had started out differently. He was a jerk and she was trying not to flip out on him. The same thing happened tonight the only difference was that she did flip out.

On the other side of the room Elizabeth had started to notice Dallas' gaze. Matt was subtly flirting every now and then but she was too drunk to pick up on it. She was less drunk than before but still a decent level of intoxicated.

"Why's a guy like you working in a place like this?" Elizabeth asked breaking the silence.

"I needed a job and they were hiring." Matt answered simply. He was too good to be true and that made Elizabeth a little uneasy. She had trouble trusting people easily. She also had trouble with abandonment from people she cared about. She was upset how her dad and Cam's dad could leave them so easily.

How could anyone do that?
