Chapter 23

Renesmee's POV

Grandpa took Miranda up stairs to his office, to observe her. She looked really bad. Over the days I used to go school, me and Miranda had become very close friends.

We sat together during lunch, we would chat over the phone till late. We went to the mall once together, we went to the cinemas once also. You could say we are best friends.

We did everything and went everywhere together- excluding our houses. So it really freaked me out to see her in such a state. Grandpa had been in his office for over 3 hours, eventually coming out while whipping his hands with a now red cloth.

No one had said anything during the wait, Uncle Emmet looked tense, like he did something wrong.

Please can you not have done this to her. I kept chanting that over and over again in my head. Aunt Alice was smiling and so was Dad, I guess they knew what was going on. Uncle Jasper left, I think he couldn't handle the emotions. Aunt Rose was trying to calm down Uncle Emmet.

Mom was sitting next to a smiling Dad. Jacob and Seth were sitting next to me, Jake had one arm around me. I saw Miranda as a sister.

"She is okay, she will make it. She doesn't have any internal bleeding, only a few broken ribs, she is still unconscious." I felt myself breath out a relived sigh. I suddenly got very angry. I turned to Uncle Emmet, racing across the room to be all up in his face.

"What did you do?!" I saw he was also relaxed after hearing Grandpa's news.
"Renesmee, he didn't do this. If anything he saved her." Dad stood up from the loveseat leaving a confused Mom. Everyone else had the same confused expression -except Aunt Alice.

"W-wwwhat do you mean?" Aunt Rosalie spoke up first, looking at Uncle Emmet with confusion.
"Emmet do you want to tell or can I?" Dad asked with a wide smile. It was kinda getting irritating. Uncle Emmet just smiled and nodded. Everyone turned to Dad -who was back on the loveseat with Mom.

"Emmet found her in through forest. She was with her family having a picnic. When 4 nomad werewolves appeared and attacked them. Her brother didn't have time to change, the werewolves killed him first then the rest of her family. She tried running away but they caught up to her and attacked her. Emmet -who witnessed all of this- FINALLY moved from his spot and save her before that could do any permanent damage. She was unconscious by then. Emmet brought her here after having fun with the werewolves, he finally got the fight of his life. That is what happened, right Emmet?"

I couldn't even move my head to look at Uncle Emmet, my head was still absorbing all of this. It finally clicked.
"Miranda is born into a werewolf family." I moved back to the couch, taking a seat, slowly.
"Yep." Everyone wasn't as shocked as me. I relaxed a little. Now I didn't have to lie anymore. She would understand. And she will heal a bit faster.

"Did you guys know?" I looked around the room. They all nodded except Seth, who was in through dark like me.
