Jacob and Renesmee Happy Ever After ...

Chapter 14

Jacob's POV

We all arrived at my Dad's house at the same time Billy wasn't home, he was out shop shopping with Mary. When we reached the front door, we all got a wif of Edward, Bella and Renesmee's scent.

Just smelling her makes me miss her more. But something is wrong, her scent is not the same pure, sweet scent, it now has a hint of werewolves-not from me or the guy's-and strong vampire.

Jacob could you stop daydreaming of Renesmee and concentrate.

Jared nudged me in the shoulder with his nose. I realized that everyone else was gone.

Come, they are at the back.

Jared and I moved to the back of the house, all of them were there, not moving. A strong scent his my nose, I wanted to run away, it was a burning sensation that wouldn't stop.

Yep, that is what I was talking about. But just concentrate on the scent and you can pick up Renesmee's.

Leah moved closer to me, while the others breathed in again.

Ohh! I smell it!
Seth it's nothing to be excited about.

Paul interrupted Seth's victory yells. I just shook my head and breathed in again. The same strong, burning scent hit my nose, but this time there was a sweet, pure scent mixed with it. We all went silent,  mostly because of me.

Waiting for the next move. I started thinking. I had smelt this scent before, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I breathed in again, trying to identify the scent. It then clicked.

Armando. Was all I said. Everyone looked at me with confusion.

Armando.

You mean the guy you were up against for Renesmee's affection? I had told them. They are my friends and I needed advice on what to do.

Yes, he was here. I moved around the circle that had formed around the back of my Dad's house. Sam was still quiet, but you could see his thoughts.

He was also confused like the rest of us. Having so many questions, but no answers, yet.

The trail goes on, down this path in the forest.

Leah was still informing us with what she had discovered. I turned my nose to the entrance of the forest, and got the same, strong,sweet, pure, burning scent.

You, Seth and Paul go and follow the trail as long as it leads you. Quil go to Claire. Leah, Embry and I will do the perimeter run and check for anything else.

Sam spoke for the first time since we had arrived here. At that we all splat up. The group I was in ran through the forest following, the scent.

After about 2 minutes of running through, bush, flora and fauna, we finally reached a small clearing. It looked like Bella and Edward's meadow except this one had no flowers.

When I reached the middle of the field -where Paul and Seth had stoped- Renesmee and Armando's scent stopped. Leaving behind a werewolf scent. This scent was not from the pack.

Guys this is as far as her scent goes.
Paul broke the long, heavy silence.
I will go back to Alaska today and ask Renesmee about this.

I also wanted to hold her in my arms and touch her soft, tasty lips.

Eww, please stop that. It's disgusting.

Seth shouted in my head, I hear Paul laugh also.

Whatever. Bye guys. Tell the others I left and tell them about the trail just stopping. Keep me in the loop.

I ran off not waiting for a response. As I reached the house, I changed back, put on my clothing and went in the house.

"Hey son." Dad was sitting next to the couch with a bowl of popcorn watching a movie. Mary was sitting next to him on the couch. She was leaning on his shoulder, they looked room comfortable for me. And Dad was smiling, he haven't smiled like that since Mom, passed away. I am sure Rachel knew something, but I would have to ask her another time.

"Hey Dad and Mary. Dad I am leaving earlier that expected." He and Mary looked away from the television and looked at me with confusion.

"I have to ask Renesmee something, and I miss her." The nodded their heads and turned back to the television. I moved to my room and started packing in a frantic way. Anything I grabbed I chucked it in the bag.

I just hope there are available tickets on such short notice.

I through the bag over my shoulder and grabbed the money the Cullens had given me and Renesmee, increases of an emergency.

"Bye Dad and Mary." I moved out the door not waiting to be greeted also.
