Y/N'S POV
"I don't need you, Y/N. You're just suffocating me by being here" She said.
I looked at her clearly taken aback with what she said.
"I just need my boyfriend. I don't want to see you right so please leave" She said.
I cleared my throat and nodded.
"Okay. I'll tell him" I said before standing up to leave.
I walked out of her room and shakily exhaled.
It took me a few minutes to process what had happened.
I dialed Travis' number.
"Hello, Y/N?" He answered.
"Taylor needs you" Was all I managed to say.
"I'm on my way" He said and I hummed.
"She's really fragile right now. Be gentle with her" I reminded before ending the call.
I went in the cab I had called and went straight home.
I didn't feel okay at all.
Someone had spread rumors about her getting married to her ex boyfriend.
Her publicist, Tree had already addressed the issue but people are still talking about it and that's what upsets her.
I get that she's stressed and upset about what had happened.
But she didn't have to push me away like that.
I was just trying to help but I guess I wasn't doing that at all.
TIME SKIP
"Tell me what happened" Selena asked as she just randomly barged in my house.
"What are you taking about?" I ask confused.
"Taylor and you" She said.
"You haven't been going out lately. You weren't at her party last night" She said.
"I wasn't invited. I wouldn't have gone even if I was" I said.
"Just tell me so I can sleep peacefully" She tells.
"You know the marriage rumor someone spread a few months ago?" I asked and she nodded.
"Two months ago, right?" She asked and I nodded.
"I went to her house to comfort her and make her feel better. I'm her best friend, I want to be there for her and I've always been there for her for who knows how long" I said.
"But maybe I was being too much" I said.
"How so?" She asked.
"She told me I'm suffocating her" I said and bit my lip.
I didn't want to cry and I won't.
"She didn't want to see me" I said.
"She hasn't talked to you since?" She asked and I nodded.
"She needed Travis so I called him before I left her to make sure she'll be okay" I said and she smiled.
"You care for her so much" She said and I nodded.
"Do you want me to talk to her?" She asked.
"I don't know" I said.
"I'm throwing a party next week. You're invited and so is she. Maybe you can talk there?" She suggested and I nodded.
"If she wants" I said.
TIME SKIP
"Holy shit, Y/N. You look sexy" Gigi complimented and slapped my butt.
"Gay" I said and we laughed.
"I'm sorry, Sel. I think Y/N is the spotlight tonight" Blake said as she hugged me before giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Is my outfit too much?" I anxiously asked.
"It's just perfect" Selena said as she smiled at me.
I grabbed a drink before downing it.
"She's definitely getting wasted tonight" I hear Blake say.
"Why not?" I asked and giggled.
I was chatting and drinking with the girls for who knows how long before Taylor arrived.
It was awkward for both of us so I decided to excuse myself to go to the restroom.
I wobbly walked my way inside the restroom and looked at myself in the mirror.
Damn, I do look hot.
I laughed at myself.
I was obviously drunk.
Taylor also went in.
I pretended to be busy with my lashes.
I look dumbed but I had to do something to ignore her presence.
"Hello" She greets with a smile.
"Hi" I replied.
"Can we talk?" She asked.
"Finally?" I asked and smiled.
"But are we gonna talking in here?" I asked.
"Come on" She said as she held my hand, guiding me outside and inside her car.
We sat there in silence before she could say a word.
"I'm sorry" She apologized and looked at me.
"What I did was wrong and how I treated you was also wrong" She said.
"I pushed you away and told you things you didn't deserve to hear" She continued.
"I was so wrong for that " She said and sobbed.
"Tay, don't cry" I said and hugged her.
"You definitely hurt me" I said as I pull away.
"I'm really sorry. I promise not to do it again" She said.
"We've been together since we were six. We've always been there for each other and when you told me that you didn't need me, I got scared" I said.
"I always want you to need me, Taym I'm already used to you" I said and smiled.
"If I'm being too much, just tell me what I should do" I said.
"I can't believe it took you 2 months to talk to me" I said.
"I thought you hate me after what happened" She said.
"I can never hate you" I said.
"I love you" She said and smiled.
"I love you, Tay" I said.
Little did Taylor know, that meant something more for me.
"Let's head back inside now. I'm getting sober" I said.
"Can we stay here for a little longer? Just you and I" She asked and I nodded.
"I missed you" She said.
"I'm glad you did. I really stopped myself from calling you first" I said.
"Why'd you have to make us suffer?" She asked and laughed.
"You didn't want to see me, Taylor" I reminded her.
"Stop reminding me of my stupid choices" She said.
"Did Sel talk to you?" I asked and she nodded.
"More of scolded me" She said and laughed.
"She was more mad at me than you are" She said and I gasped.
"Maybe she likes me" I joked and we laughed.
"We should head back inside now. They're probably looking for us" I said.
