Jo Koy, fuck u man 🖕
Y/N'S POV
As soon as we got off the car, we were the main event.
I was wearing a gorgeous black dress while Taylor wore a stunning green dress.
We walked hand in hand together with our publicists and was circled with security.
I let Taylor shine while they take pictures of her.
"She's beautiful" I say.
"I mean, you're not lying" Tree says and I smile.
Taylor took my hand after taking pictures and we were lead inside the venue.
I saw familiar faces and unfamiliar ones.
"Selena!" Taylor calls out and hugs her bestfriend.
We complimented each other's looks and head to our seats.
"Everyone's looking fantastic" I say.
Our publicists, Tree and Remy handed us drinks and reminded us to slow down and not get drunk.
Everyone was having a great time before the event started.
No one knew that was the end of our happy time for this event.
The host, Jo Koy was very unprofessional.
Whoever chose this host must have no other choice but to choose him.
He blabbered on things that made everyone uncomfortable but ignored it anyway.
"Barbie is on a plastic doll with big boobies!" He says.
Oh that's not...
I took a sip of my drink.
"Also, two barbies aren't meant together, right? Taylor and Y/N?" He says and that's what made me react.
I raised my eyebrows in shock and I felt Taylor put her hand on my thigh.
I see his downfall before my eyes.
I leaned into Taylor's ear.
"Where did they even get this host?" I whispered.
"Oh, she's saying something!" The host says.
I looked at him and he was grinning.
"Someone give her a microphone, she might wanna say something" He says and just seconds later, I was being handed a microphone.
I refused but he insisted.
I stood up from my seat and took the microphone.
"Barbie is not about plastic dolls with big boobies as you've said" I say.
"Barbie is an eye opener about feminisim and you prove the whole point of this masterpiece" I say.
"Even the most difficult and uncomfortable emotions deserve to be respected and taken care of by you and your support circle" I say.
"And hearing that Barbie is just a plastic doll with big boobies is such a rude thing to say because Barbie is more than what people like you think" I say.
"It's not-" He tried to stop me.
"You told me to speak and here I am speaking" I say.
"For the longest time, women have been looked down and seen as playthings men can use" I say.
"It is literally impossible to be a woman, because when we're right, we're still wrong" I say.
"And bringing up my relationship in this is one thing I'm mostly disappointed about" I say.
