The next day, you supervised over the rest of the Hotel's inhabitants, who were writing down the things about themselves that were maybe keeping them from rehabilitation. You grew frustrated sometimes, with Angel Dust, specifically, but you persisted. You would help Charlie achieve her dream if it was the last thing you did. Every time you were on the verge of snapping and strangling the spider, you took Vaggie's advice and counted to ten in your head. Gritting your teeth, you passed by Angel, who still hadn't written anything. All he was doing is doodling. "Angel. What do you think you could do to improve yourself?" you asked as kindly as you could.

"Dunno, you tell me."

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten.

"My dear, why don't you take a break?" Alastor suggested, getting up and gently placing a hand on your shoulder. "Yeah Auntie, you really should," Charlie chimed in, "Your injury healed only two days ago, and you spent nearly every night of the last week coming up with the plan."

"Which is why we should all be trying to follow it. Y/N's been working really hard on this," Vaggie growled, specifically to Angel. "What've you got against me?" Angel asked, placing a hand on his chest in an offended manner. "What have we got against you? You're the only one not trying, and you're the patient, if I remember correctly!" Vaggie snarled, but before she could say anything else, she stopped her self and closed her eyes, counting up to ten in Spanish under her breath, "Just- Just please try to take this seriously Angel. We just want what's best for you." You smiled at Vaggie, at least she was very obviously making an effort. The others were trying too, bar Angel. Husk hadn't drunk anything alcoholic after your presentation, and Niffty was letting the pests she found go now instead of brutally killing them. Alastor had made the decision to steer clear of deer meat, seeing as he was half-deer, it was half-cannibalism.

"Come on, Auntie Y/N, take a walk or a nap or something, I'll take over here for now," Charlie said. You nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I think I'll go take a walk." After giving Alastor a quick kiss on the cheek(A/N - yes I have made you tall in this), you left for the door.

You let your feet guide you through the streets with no particular thought to where you were going. Then abruptly, a voice called out your name, "Y/N! Y/N!" you turned around to see who was speaking, then frowned, "What do you want."

"Hey, no need to be so rude, you know, I just wanna talk," Velvette straightened her blue sleeveless jacket. "Since when have you-" you stopped yourself. Be nice, "Yes? What is it?"

"Listen, so... Uh, I know we've never had the best relationship, but I've been mulling things over and I remembered what that Charlie girl said about rehab... and I wanna try it." You blinked. You could hardly believe it. Was this really Velvette? Or one of her little schemes? Looking into her eyes, you saw only truth. She really did want to take a shot at redemption. "Do the other two know about this?" you asked.

"Wellllllll... No. Vox and Val would be pissed if they found out. I was wondering if you could keep this quiet except to the Hotel crew? I won't be able to stay in the Hotel all that much, but I could still, y'know, go to whatever self-betterment activities you guys plan."

Hesitating, you had a moment of internal conflict. In the end, you decided it was worth a shot. "Alright, then," you stuck your hand out, "All forgiven, all forgotten, I suppose?" The other overlord shook it, "Yep. Honestly, I wanted to be friends with you from the start, you seemed pretty cool when we first met, not gonna lie, and you are still pretty cool, but y'know, neither Vox or Val really liked you, nor did you like them. So I assumed since I was close with them you wouldn't be too fond of me either." You smiled and started walking again as the girl chattered away, trailing behind, maybe Velvette wasn't so bad after all.
