Back at the base, Tzuyu kept his word. He woke up with a small task. Keeping an eye on Kai. They were all on the field, doing their morning exercises. After each set, he would glance at Kai. He was just smiling and chatting with his friends. Tzuyu wondered how Chaeyoung suspected him of anything. Tzuyu just found him weird. "What the-" He rubbed his arm when he felt a slap.
"You keep eyeing him. I didn't know you rolled that way." Dahyun smirked and Tzuyu scoffed.
"Absolutely not." They both laid down for their set of sit ups. "Chaeyoung told me to keep an eye on him. He finds him suspicious and you know Chaeyoung is never wrong." Dahyun didn't reply as they started their sit ups. After they were done, they stood up.
"I don't find anything wrong with him." He looked at Kai. "I like the guy, he's positive all the time." Dahyun placed his hands on his waist, panting a bit.
"Best to stay like that. He might suspect something if we suddenly switch up on him." Tzuyu chugged his water. Dahyun nodded even though he was confused on the whole situation.

They were back in their dorms to take their shower. Both Dahyun and Tzuyu were done with their baths. They were chatting while drying their hair with the towel until a knock was heard on the door. Dahyun opened the door and Jeongyeon greeted him with a smile.
"Hey! Everything going good?" Jeongyeon asked as he walked in, closing the door behind him. Tzuyu nodded while Dahyun dramatically sighed.
"I miss our tiger Jeong. It's so boring without someone to tease!" Jeongyeon smiled at that while Tzuyu glared at him. 'Am I not fun?'
"Jeongyeon," Tzuyu turned to his Corporal. Jeongyeon rose his eyebrows at him, waiting for his question. "Did Chaeyoung ask you about Kai?" Jeongyeon nodded.
"He did. I was confused why he asked that. I don't know why he finds him suspicious, he's a Corporal." Tzuyu tighten his lip in disagreement. Jeongyeon noticed it and sighed. "But, I will watch his actions. Just in case." Dahyun looked at the two and sighed. 'Am I dumb to know what is going on?'

Jeongyeon knocked on Jihyo's door. "Come in." He heard her say. He opened the door and Jihyo was sitting on her desk. "What's brings you in?"
"I came here to let you know about something." Jeongyeon got close and placed his hands behind him. Jihyo looked away from her papers then to him. "Tzuyu said that Chaeyoung finds Kai suspicious." Jihyo chuckled and noticed he was serious.
"Are you serious? He's a Corporal, how can he be suspicious?"
"That's what I said but you never know. Traitors do exist." Jeongyeon's voice was dry and low. Jihyo looked at her papers in thought. "You know Chaeyoung, his gut is always right." Jihyo nodded.
She chose Chaeyoung for this task because he was good at solving things. She knew he loved mysteries. So if Chaeyoung suspects him, they should trust him.
"Alright, I'll keep an eye out."
"You're not going to report it?" Jihyo hesitated.
"They might take action, it will make Kai aware and let the North Koreans know." Jeongyeon sighed since she was right. "But we aren't sure if he's really a spy amongst us. I still can't wrap my mind around it. He seems like a trustworthy guy." She rubbed her temple.
"You never judge a book by its cover Park." Jeongyeon softly said making Jihyo chuckle. "That's all I had to say. Do you need anything?"
"Not at the moment. Thank you Jeongyeon." Jeongyeon bowed and was about to turn when Jihyo stopped him again. "You might want to call your wife. She wouldn't stop texting me about you." Jeongyeon blushed and nodded. He walked out and quickly pulled out his phone. He smiled when the line immediately picked up.
"Hey honey..." He softly said as he made way back to the dorm.

Junho walked out of the shower which grabbed the attention of the two. Hikaru then left a speechless Chaeyoung to take his shower. They were silent after having the same thought. Chaeyoung couldn't believe that Kai was a North Korean spy. 'How?' Well its not confirmed that he was but still was it even possible? Did he help with the invasion? Chaeyoung shivered. He remembered him backing Kai up and even giving him a bandage. 'I helped the enemy.' Chaeyoung should've known by the way Kai was so calm after the whole thing. He didn't even bother to check on his fallen allies.
Junho sat on the couch with him and Chaeyoung quickly updated him. "Hikaru and I suspect Kai to be a North Korean spy." Junho looked at him confused. He didn't know who this guy was but was willing to hear him out. Plus, it was valuable information.
"Let's inform Jeongyeon then-"
"No." Junho looked at him. "We aren't sure if it's true. I already told Tzuyu to keep track on him." Again, Junho didn't know who Tzuyu was but nodded.
"If it's true, then I wonder why he would do such thing. Especially going against your own country." Junho rested his arms on his knees.
"Simple." Chaeyoung deadpanned. "Money."
"But he's a Corporal right? Why would he accept that bribe? How did no one suspect him?" Chaeyoung stayed silent. He couldn't answer his questions since he also did wonder. Then again, a Japanese who knows Korean can get past by a sea of Japanese soldiers pretty easily. He remembered the piece of paper Kai gave him before leaving. He got up and Junho followed him with his eyes. Chaeyoung grabbed the paper that was sitting on the counter from the night they first arrived.
"Kai gave me this address." He walked back to Junho and showed him. "I'll go investigate it though it could be a trap." Junho grabbed the slip and furrowed his brows.
"Are you sure? Why did he give you this anyway?" Junho was filled with questions.
"Kai wanted me to help his sister with her depression. It's weird but I accepted. Now thinking about it, it could be a trap. I'm sure about going there, we might catch him doing something and we can report it back." Junho simply nodded and handed him the slip back.
"Well either way, let's let Jeongyeon know. Maybe he can send some back up just in case. Of course, in discreet." Chaeyoung agreed and let Hikaru know once he got out. Chaeyoung went ahead to take his shower.
He grabbed his clothes and towel, heading to the bathroom. He took off his shirt and looked at himself. He noticed he had a stubble growing. He forgot to shave since he was busy with his current mission. 'Maybe I should keep it.' He flexed his muscles and started to feel better about himself. If Mina's boyfriend would to fight him, he was confident he will win. 'Who am I kidding.' He scoffed. He knew he didn't have a chance with her. Besides, he was here for his job, not for a good time.
He hoped that her boyfriend wasn't involved with anything and is just a bad guy. He didn't want her to be involved in this mess. Though, she already was since a war is going on. Chaeyoung couldn't keep her out of his mind. Her smile was floating in his mind. It was the most beautiful smile he has ever seen. He never thought he would end up feeling like this after his ex. His thoughts about women were slowly changing. Though, his shyness was still there.
He recalled the shine in her eyes when they were talking. He didn't know if it was because of him or the sunlight that was hitting her clear skin. He wished that he met her in different circumstances. No war going on. No spy mission. Just him visiting Japan with no worry.
After his shower, he decided to sleep. All this stress made him exhausted so he decided to rest. He was too tired to even bid the other two good night. He didn't bother putting on a shirt or sleep pants, just in his boxers. He crawled into bed, turning off the lamp on the nightstand. He closed his eyes and again, he saw her smile. 'What a silly crush.'
