Oh my red, black and golden blossom,
Simply a memory now.You're rotting.
You reek of ashes, what's burning you, love?
I can't bear to watch you slip away like this,
Couldn't you have held on a little longer? You promised never to leave town if I was always by your side
Now we stand on the opposite ends of the street
While the cold winter air is kissing my cheeks
I see you, smoking on the other end, eyes on the bus station.I'm afraid, I don't recognise you anymore.
So I turn around and begin to walk home
There are kids out there celebrating birthdays on the sidewalk
There are even more kids reciting poems in that small town club
Lets be them.
Lets go back to being kids together again. But hey, I can never really abandon you,
We were doomed to be together,
our veins tangling onto each other,
leaving never-ending blood trails around the town.I'll be back for you,
Again.
