"Uhm, you mean best friends?"

"No. See? You wouldn't get it." Zack sighed in disappointment. "Uhm, I will if you clarify it for me."

"Right. This was the thing I am trying to avoid but I have no choice." Zack gulped as his cheeks are noticeably pink even if it's almost covered by patches. The blue clad took the medic's hands and held it quite tight, like he was hoping for a good outcome. "I am saying this flat out so listen."

Zan gulped and he could feel the awkward tension that made him feel embarrassed. "Zan, I really like you so much to the point I can't bear seeing you with anyone longer than 5 minutes. I'd get really sulky and be in a sour mood. I vented it all out in my training and ended up with scars, but I know it will be worth it since you'll be the one to patch me up always and it should stay that way."

The medic could feel his face getting warm as Zack rambled on. "Would you let me be just the one for you?" He looked at Zan's embarrassed state. It was adorable. The young medic gathered up the courage to look up at Zack despite the awkwardness that he wants to avoid at all cost. "Zack.. I.."

"Zan..?" A child's voice interrupted their tense atmosphere which Zan was grateful for. "L-Luis, why are you up?" The medic turned his attention to the child by the door. "I suddenly woke up and.. you weren't in the room."

"Aw, I was just talking with Zack. C'mon, let's get you back to bed." Zan picked Luis up. Zack got the note that Zan probably wanted to avoid the question. He frowned but, "And Zack?"

"A-Ah, yes?"

"Can you.. give me some time to think about it? I want to give it some more thought. I.. want to be sure if I am the same." Zan said as he bent his back a bit and let Luis rest on his chest.

"That's fine. As long as you understand how I feel, I just want you to know that I'll do everything to make you choose me in the end." Zack sternly said that made Zan nod in return before closing the door on him.

When the door was shut between them, Zack's legs had given up and he gave a sigh before a small curve on his lips made its way to make him smirk. "I do not intend to let Oliver take you away. Until the day you'll answer me, you can't get away from me, Zan." On the other hand, Zan put Luis to bed with the others and tucked him in. His feelings overflowed and overwhelmed him. His heartbeat fast now that he thinks of Zack.

Just the very thought of the guy, made his heart flutter. Somehow, love still made its way in this cruel world. But, he had only known of a girl and a boy as a couple. In the first place, Zan never had entertained such thoughts and didn't even have the time to. All he had heard from Isabella about love was, it applies to everyone. He wonders if it applies to both males. Okay, he's thinking so much about this.

He had told Zack he'll think about it but he's thinking too much. "I'll think about this next time.."

"Sorry! I'm late! I overslept!" Zan pants as he barged through the door. "Good morning, Zan. We are just about to start." Lucas smiled at the sight of one of his children.

"Yeah, sorry again."

"It's fine, Zan. It's good for you anyway." Oliver smiled at him and he smiled back. On the corner of his eye, Zack was smiling at him. Flustered by last night's event, he nervously smiled back. He stood beside Oliver and listened to Lucas.

"Once again, good morning to all of you. I had Sonia reassign your roles because we have new member to join us." He motioned them towards the door. "He's in there. Apparently, he can't fit through the door so he's waiting there."
