To fall in love was one thing. To fall in love with your best friend is an entirely different story. When Kavin first saw Thyme in a different light, he panicked. He knew he liked people the same regardless of gender so Kavin didn't see gender as a problem.

He saw something else he deemed far more complicated.

Proximity.

Kavin believes that being close to someone plants a seed of hope and hope's a dangerous thing when it grows.

So when all 6 feet of tired gorgeousness in Thyme Akira Paramaanantra came knocking at Kavin's Singapore home, all hope that Kavin thought had withered and buried came back, bigger than ever, saying hi right to his face.

He thinks he is stupid but the feeling doesn't get off his chest.

Okay so like really, really stupid. His mind tells him.

"What are you doing here?" Kavin asks as soon as he opens the door.

"Is that how you welcome your guest?" Thyme asks, a bit menacing.

"You do know that's not the point and I'm pretty sure I did not invite you," Kavin replies.

"It's okay. Another Kittiyangkul invited me so technically, I am still a guest." Thyme argued.

"Right, Dad. Of course. Come inside." Kavin says defeated.

When they settled themselves in the living room, a little boy emerged in one of the rooms and it was none other than Bright. He excitedly ran to Thyme.

"Hello, Uncle Thyme! Nice to see you again." He says.

Uncle Thyme sounded so wrong in Kavin's ears because he knows the truth but he doesn't have the courage to correct it and face the music. He feels bad that he has to be unfair. He would do anything for Bright, that's a given. However, he is still weighing the situation.

He's scared of how the Paramaanantras will react. Kavin's family is powerful and maybe as powerful as the Paramaanantras but admitting that he hid Thyme's son would be starting a war and it would've been the kind he can bear but he knows it's too chaotic for a child like his son. He's also not really ready to confront the idea of confessing to Thyme. His mistake is telling him that he had been in an unrequited love with Bright's other parent. That would make it easy for the other to connect the dots if he finds out he's that other parent. He's also not even sure whether or not Thyme's still with Gorya and last but not least, how will he even start explaining the events of how Bright was conceived?

The thoughts were overwhelming Kavin that he had been called back to reality by Thyme.

"Kav, are you okay?" Thyme asks.

"H-huh? Of course, I am." Kavin replies.

"Anyway, why are you here?" Kavin asks again.

"Papa, is that the wight way to ask your visitow?" Bright scolds him. Thyme gives Bright a high-five for his remark.

Great, now they were a tag team against Kavin.

"I'm sorry baby but I'm just really surprised to see your Uncle Thyme here in our home," Kavin explains to him.

"Shhhh. You shouldn't be wude, Papa. Hmp. Especially since he might be youw futuwe bwoyfwend." Bright says again. Kavin's eyes turned into saucers after he heard what his son had to say.

"Bright! I told you he's my best friend. And here I thought Danny Ric was your #1 vote for Papa," Kavin tries to joke out of the situation.

"But Papa, Danny Wic is busy, he's always wacing and Uncle Thyme is just hewe." Bright argues.
