Thyme has always known he wasn't the brightest person. Among the F4 guys, that title was reserved for Ren or even Kavin if he tried. All that established, his overthinking about Kavin's alleged baby was stopped after he eavesdrops on the conversation.

He breathes out a sigh of relief when he figures that Kavin's baby is his son. Of course, it was.

His sigh causes Kavin to look at him. They made eye contact and Thyme instantly looked away in embarrassment.

Kavin raises an eyebrow and gives him a knowing look.

"Don't look at me like that. I was just trying to see if you were actually on a phone call or avoiding me." Thyme says, as if he didn't just do what he did upon hearing "baby," roll off of Kavin's tongue.

"It was my son, he's asking for me," Kavin explains.

"How old is he?" Thyme asks out of the blue.

Kavin thinks it's a harmless question so he answers.

At least, it still is.

"He's four. Turning five next month." Kavin answers.

See, Thyme was not the smartest in their gang but he knew basic Mathematics. If he's about to turn five, Kavin had him around the same time he left.

Thyme shrugs off the thought.

"The playboy embracing fatherhood, huh?" Thyme comments.

"Hmmm. Bright is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I wouldn't trade the experience of having him for anything in the world." Kavin answers.

"And his other parent?" Thyme asks, he was really pushing his luck in here.

"It was unrequited love with that person. I don't think I will ever be ready for that same rejection for my son. I'd rather not have that person in my son's life." Kavin replies.

Thyme never knew that his best friend, Kavin, was pining for someone during the years of their friendship. Everybody was interested in Kavin, who the hell would turn him down? And Kavin always got everyone he wanted.

Who had the guts to reject Kavin Taemiyaklin Kittiyangkul? Thyme wonders.

Kaning? But she's been far too in love with Kavin to do that. Mona? But she had a fiancé and hell would've broken loose if it was Mona. Kavin also says she's ancient history.

Kavin was talking about another person and Thyme doesn't know who it is.

"The great Kavin gets rejected? That's news." Thyme tries to joke.

Probably not the best idea. Kavin smiles bitterly.

"You have no idea," Kavin replies and Thyme feels something in him shifting. He doesn't know what and he's not sure if he wants to find out why.

"T, I have to go. I need to pick up Bright from school and talk with my Dad. I'm still a bit hazy on this sudden collaborative project." Kavin says to get away.

"Can I come with you?" Thyme asks on impulse.

"Don't you have to work, Mr. CEO?" Kavin asks him back.

"This company can stand without me for a couple of hours," Thyme replies.

Kavin furrows his brows in confusion. He stares at Thyme for a bit, studying the man's face. Looking for something hint, anything.

"Why do you even want to go with me? I'm just going home." Kavin reasons.

"You invited MJ and Ren to meet Bright and I can't?" Thyme whines.
