Luke helped you pack for the journey and get supplies, after you were finished you decided to go help Percy too. Luke had brung a box with him aswell but you had no idea what was in it, as you walked up to Poseidon's cabin, Percy was sat there putting his things together.
"How much money did they give you?" Luke asked while you sat down next to Percy, "Um, 200 dollars in cash and a bag of these" Percy replied before holding a bag of golden drachmas. "I think theyre Canadian, maybe?" He questioned, "Or from Chuck E Cheese, I don't know". A muffled laugh left your mouth as you used your hand to contain it but miserably failed, "Sorry but those are golden drachmas" You answered. "Dollars for human world, drachmas for mythic world" Luke added, "Don't mix them up".
Luke then put the box he brung in front of Percy, "I brought you this" He spoke while letting Percy take it from him, Percy looked at you with a questioning look but all you gave him was a simple shrug. He sat down with the box and opened it, there was red and dirty white shoes. "Well, these are.." He paused, "Interesting". Both you and Luke chuckled, and Luke leaned over to show Percy one of the shoes. "Maia" Was all Luke said for the shoes to grow wings and start flapping, "Woah" you said before trying to touch them.
Luke swiftly moved them away from your grasp, "Those are interesting" Percy added. "A gift from my dad" He explained, "Maia" He repeated and the wings quickly disappeared. Placing it back into the box, Luke looked at you before handing you something in his pocket. In his hand was a beautiful white and gold dagger, the patterns matching perfectly with your bow. You gasped at how amazing it looked, before you knew it, you had wrapped your arms tightly around Luke. "It's perfect, thank you so much" You beamed before pulling away.
"That bow isn't handy in every situation so keep yourself safe with that okay?" He asked before handing you the knife, "Of course, I'll keep it perfectly safe". Percy smiled at the interaction, "I thought about choosing you before I chose Grover." He spoke looking at Luke. "Hey, Grover's a lot stronger than people think." He replied before getting cut off, "I was afraid" Percy admitted.
"I have a chance to rescue my mum from Hades, I can't let anything stop me" He added, "And I'm afraid of it gets in the way of the quest, Annabeth might try to." He paused. "And you told me you'll be on her side no matter what, and-" He was cut short by Luke, "It's okay, really I get it" He told Percy. "Just take care of each other out there, especially Y/n cause she would risk herself for any one of you" He asked before you rolled your eyes.
"Come on Percy, we need to meet the others" You said before hugging Luke one last time, "I'll be back soon, don't get into trouble okay?" You asked and Luke quickly nodded. Grabbing Percy's hand you lead him to meet the others.
