Y/n pov
I wake up to a dark room and I look towards to the window which was closed by a blind , no light seeped out from underneath I had no idea what the time was but it must be early it isn't even light outside i turn over carefully as I still had a bit of pain in my chest and I tried closing my eyes again but it was no good I couldn't fall back to sleep, I guess I had slept a lot yesterday. I decide to sit up but I didn't quite realize the difficulty that would be, I get up so far but I'm not strong enough to push myself up all the way I sigh and slop back down I feel useless and weak I can't even push myself up to sit in bed without failing."Y/n are you awake?" My mumma loudly whispers she's a very light sleeper I must have woken her up I felt awful especially as I knew how tired they were, especially mumma. "Yeh Im awake im sorry for waking you up I was trying to sit up, I can't sleep" I too whisper back not wanting to wake mum. Mumma carefully gets out of bed and comes and climbs in and lays down next to me in my bed, she wraps her arms around me and pulls me close to her. "Try and get some more sleep it will help you feel better and stronger, I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." I soon fall back asleep in my mumma's arms and dive back into a peaceful dream.
Viv's pov
From the moment I woke up and got into bed with y/n I didn't sleep well, the anxiety keeping me awake, worrying about if y/n was ok and scared to fall asleep in case y/n needed me. But tiredness soon overtook me and I fell back into a light sleep cuddled up next to our daughter. The noise of the busy hallway woke me up I carefully sit up not wanting to wake y/n up and look over to Beth who was sat up in bed on her phone, "ah the sleeping Dutch princess is awake" Beth jokes I smile at her comment and go over and join her in the bed, "what happened last night is y/n ok?" She asks me with concern written across her face. It melts my heart at the amount of love Beth has for our daughter and I know all mums love their daughters to pieces but this love was different it was one that came across as extra and something I admired about Beth, her big heart that she has, and if your excepted by it your the luckiest person, and that's how I feel I'm one of those lucky people she lets in and I thank my lucky stars that she chose me. "Vivi?" She says questionably reminding me of her previous question. "Y/n is fine she just woke up in the night and couldn't settle back I meant to come and get back in bed with you but I kinda fell asleep with her" I reply. Beth's face eases and she puts down her phone she gives me a kiss and heads off to the bathroom to get changed into the clothes Steph brought for us, I get ready to do the same sorting out the sofa bed and my clothes to follow after Beth when she is done.Beth pov
I wake up sighing remembering the events of the day before I go to roll over to slide into in my girlfriends arms like I do every morning only to find the space next to me is cold. I panic and sit up only to be met with the most heartwarming sight, y/n wrapped up in vivs arms both fast asleep. I love how protective viv is of y/n don't get me wrong I am too but this whole situation the hospital and school has made viv rather overprotective of her. I take this opportunity to check social media I was aware of the potential rumors circulating around about y/n but I didn't know how big or true they were.To my shock and horror they where everywhere, instagram, Twitter, Facebook and tik tok, this made me angry especially as a lot of the photos and videos where of y/n leaving school yesterday when she was in a mess as-well as photos of me and Viv sat together in the waiting room, do these people not have anything better to do then to encroach on people's private life, my family's private life. I understand that mine and Vivi's relationship is out there publicly and of course I appreciate the fans and their support but however to bring my daughter into all of this makes my blood boil. If we wanted her out in the public eye we would have done but we chose not too. I was interrupted by the noise of vivi waking up.
General POV
Viv returned from the bathroom and decided she was going to go down to the cafe in the hospital to get her and Beth a well needed coffee, Beth offered to go with her but they both decided someone needed to stay with y/n in case she woke up or a doctor came in to check on her. Viv leaves the room and heads down to the cafe along the way people are pointing at her and secretly taking photos thinking Viv won't know however she is fully aware of this but chooses to ignore it. When she makes it down to the cafe she is immediately swarmed by people with cameras being shoved in her face, "is it true you and Beth have a daughter", "how come your here" "Vivianne look this way"Viv chose to ignore them after all it was easier to ignore them then answer their ongoing questions, she also knew that if she was to reply it wouldn't be a nice one. Viv pushed her way to the front and ordered her coffees and left, she headed back up to y/n's room to be met with the doctor in there checking on y/n who was still fast asleep.
"How is she doing?" Beth asks the doctor anxiously praying it's good news and they can take their daughter home, viv went over and sat next to Beth and handed her the coffee and squeezed her shoulder for comfort. "Really well she has made a good improvement over night her body temperature is out of the danger zone and the color is coming back to her I'm slightly concerned about her weight but it's not dangerous and I feel that is something you can work on together at home so overall I'm feeling happy about letting her home today, I'll notify a nurse and she should be with you in the next hour with the release papers I need you to sign and she'll talk to you about the rest of recovery for y/n for when your home." The doctor says and leaves us too it. Beth and viv turn to each other and hug with tears in their eyes, I know what some people might think it isn't that bad they have only been in hospital overnight but for them the past 24 hours have been the biggest challenge so far that they have had to go through as a family. The hug is soon broken by y/n muttering a good morning to her mums. "Morning baby girl are you ok?" Beth asks which earns a nod from y/n, Beth goes and sits on y/n's bed by her legs "Guess what ... you can go home today". Y/n's face lights up with a smile and beth and viv embrace her in a big hug. They cradle her in there arms and each of them enjoying the family moment they where sharing.
They break from the hug and Viv messages the Arsenal group chat:
Vivianne Miedema: good news y/n gets released today within the hour
Kyra CC: wohoo that's great news xx
Jonas eidevall: super, well done guys your a strong family take the time that's needed.
Leah: yes y/n!! so proud xxxx
Steph Catley: I'll come take you guys home be there soon. XMeanwhile Beth is helping y/n get changed into her pajamas it was a slow process but one that made y/n feel a bit better and cleaner, "I can't wait for a shower" y/n stated making Beth laugh "not too much longer baby girl when we're home a nice warm shower will be calling your name" and with that Beth finished helping her get ready and they headed back to the bed. Y/n was quite wobbly on her feet so Beth held on to her as she walked back to the bed she lifted her onto it, and put the blankets back over her, it was hard for Beth to see her daughter so weak and helpless but she was certain that with time and some love and care she would soon be back to normal. The nurse a bit later came in with the release forms which both Beth and viv signed them. "So plan for y/n and recovery is limited activity for the next 24 hours although gentle short walk or some fresh air depending on what she is up for would be beneficial, and just keep an eye on her temperature anything unsure off or if temperature peaks a bit high or low within the next 48 hours bring her back" the nurse explains, Beth and viv agree and the nurse leaves. Beth's phone vibrates with a message from Steph to say she's here, Viv and Beth slowly and carefully help y/n off the bed and walk to the exit to meet Steph, it was mostly quiet apart from the odd sneaky photo from a fan, which beth and viv once again ignored they didn't want to make a scene of it but they knew they would both sit down and deal with it when there home. They reached Steph's car Beth sat up front and y/n and viv sat in the back, y/n soon fell asleep in the car leaning on viv's shoulder. But it wasn't long before they were back home. There home. Home sweet home.
