General POV
It had been a couple of weeks since everything that went on both Beth and Viv where excelling in football, y/n was enjoying her tutor and finding it beneficial to her studies, not only that but y/n had also started playing a sport... Hockey. Something which surprised her family and aunties but nether-the-less everyone was happy that the 12 year old had found her feet in the world and was loving it.  Through hockey she had found herself a good small group of friends who didn't just want to be her friends due to who her parents where but they wanted to be her friend for who she was.

It was now a usual Wednesday evening y/n on her way to training in the car with viv taking her to training and y/n filling her in on the day's tutor session, "she had me doing science today focusing on chemistry, it's such a waste of time since when do I need to know about things mixing together" Viv laughing as usual at her daughters daily rant over the subjects she did and didn't like and although 9 times out of 10 she understood her daughters points she would never admit that, "all subjects are important lieverd you never know when you might need it" she said in her usual mothering voice one that y/n couldn't argue back with but always talking with a soft understanding tone. Once arrived at training y/n was quick to clamber out the car saying a brief goodbye to her Mumma before heading out to the training pitch with stickbag in hand. To find her friends.

Y/n POV
I was looking forward to training tonight I was glad I had found something that I loved where I could be known as y/n meadema and not Beth or Vivianne's daughter. Don't get me wrong my parents are the best and I love them dearly but I want to be known as y/n meadema. We started off in training with different positions going off to their own stations as a right winger my group did some passing and pressing drills and aiming to pass sharply into the D, before then going into a full practice match, everything was going strong for my side the ball pressing nicely up the turf until a gap opened up for me I started running in to the space on the wing whilst receiving the ball, dribbling it around one of the defence before driving it into the D for the upfront player to take the strike and BANG straight in. The whistle blew 1-0 to my side we all went around high fiving one another before sitting down to recover from the game whilst listening to the critiques from our coaches. Once over me and my group of friends headed to the changing rooms to quickly get changed out of our smelly kit and take our sweaty shin pads off. Poppy started a conversation off about recent rumours circulated social media with each of the two other girls, Flo and Lauren chiming in. With me not having instagram or any social media I just kept quiet fiddling with my fingers waiting for the conversation to be over. "Y/n did you hear me?" Poppy asked me "hmm sorry I zoned out what's up" I responded with, Flo slug her arm over me "hey you should really get insta would your parents let you?" She asked, this was something that caused me to think deeply, would they? I know they've had bad experiences with it but then again I don't have the following they do. "Maybe im not too sure I'll have to ask" I say shutting down the conversation.

I walk out the changing rooms by myself leaving my friends to disappear off in different directions to head back home, as im walking out to the car park I spot mum sat in the Tesla, window rolled down talking to my hockey coach, I head over curious to what there conversation was about hoping to catch a glimpse of it before they wrap it up. As I get in the passenger seat of the car my coach says bye and heads off, "hey mum what was that about?" I ask slightly nervous of the response. "Hey bug Coach was just saying that he is really impressed with your game at the moment, he says there are U14 trials coming up for London Wayfares and he wants you to try out, he really believes you can have a career of hockey and he thinks this is the next step, this club has England scouts come and watch there matches and are known to take the players on, this is huge" I was stunned!! This had to be a dream firstly im only 12, how an earth can a 12 year old play in a top England club in London and be two years off the age category, "really, your not joking are you" I ask my mum hardly able to believe it myself, "of course im not, is this something you really want to do?" Mum asks. "Of course I love hockey but im only 12 I won't be as good as the 13/14 year olds" I say slightly apprehensive off this opportunity ahead, my mum pulls me into a hug "bug your coach wouldn't be telling you to go for it if he didnt think you stood a good chance". This was true he would't do that maybe I could do it well I mean I'd never know if I didn't go, "I think I want to give it a go" I tell my mum with a big smile appearing on my face one that I couldn't hold back, my mum too with the same goofy smile her eyes welling up slightly, "god mum please don't cry that's soo embarrassing" I joke causing mum to burst out with laughter, "I can't help it im so proud of you for creating your own path". Those 5 words I'm so proud of you where words that I held close to me that was the most important thing to me making my mums proud of me.

Beth pov
After sharing the exciting news with my daughter in the hockey training centre's car park I drove off with y/n grabbing her phone out her bag and connecting it to my car and blasting out Viva La Vida singing along to it as we drove, I think it's fair to say she didn't gain my amazing singing voice. Listening to here signing along with a smile on her face made me smile thinking about all the memories we held, like the time when she was a little 4 year old and we managed to silently sneak her into a game without any fans noticed, or when for her 2nd birthday when she was finally big enough to wear her first football kit and Leah brought her for her birthday a meadema arsenal kit. Of course all the high's dont come without there lows but there something we leave in the past. It wasn't a long drive home a drive that was made a lot shorter with the entertaining, questionable singing coming from Y/N, we where currently on voulez vouz as I pulled into our driveway and switched the engine off also turning the music off, "your mumma is going to go mad when she here's the news what do you think the betting that she cries is?" I ask her before getting out the car, "oh 100% she cries she get's so emotional about these kind of things" I laugh at y/n's very true statement thinking of the many times we've been able to make her ugly cry wether that's been with presents or happy news.

Me and y/n walked through the front door to the smell of a home cooked lasagne cooking in the oven, "hi my girls, how was training y/n?" Viv asked from the breakfast bar stools, "it was very good thanks" she tells her whilst shooting me a smile, "go on bug tell mumma the news" I encourage her. Y/n tells Viv the news that I had been told by her coach and as guessed Viv burst out into tears and rushing over and engulfing y/n in a massive bear hug, "im so proud of you sweetheart so proud" she says inbetween the sniffles. "Thanks mumma I love you and you too mum" she says whilst pulling me into the hug. Once broken out of the hug Viv sends y/n up for a shower whilst we headed into the kitchen to set the table.

"You know vivi there was a betting on if you cried y/n annoyingly winning" I say causing Viv to laugh, "I can't help it im an emotional women when it comes to these kind of things" she says whilst playfully rolling her eyes "of course you are Vivianne I completely forgot".

General POV
That evening saw the meademas celebrate y/n's news in a classic meadema way a home cooked family meal followed by some TV time with cuddles and jokes with Beth bringing up her Wooly jumper joke a numerous amount of times. A general conversation flowing between he trio about y/n sharing her news with her aunties tomorrow morning at training something which she was very excited about. Y/n's phone pinging every now and then with the friend group occasionally chatting through the group chat.

Poppy: Y/N did you ask your mums about instagram?
Flo: yess I completely forgot you where gonna do that what did they say?
Lauren: I hope the answer was yes
Y/n: hey guys haven't asked yet just waiting for the right time ill ask tomorrow ok

She types back before switching her phone off and turning it on silent, and melting back into her mums embrace on the big sofa. "Right come on misses it's bed time it's 9.30 and we are leaving earlier tomorrow morning" Viv exclaims whilst moving off the sofa and pulling y/n's arm up to lift her off the sofa. A groan coming from the young girl earning her a Vivianne stare, a stare she knew well enough to not mess with it and started heading upstairs, "me and mumma will come and tuck you in 10 minutes" Beth shouts after her as the young girl made her way up the stairs.
10 minutes later both parents making their way up the stairs and into their daughters bedroom to find her wrapped up under her duvet awaiting her goodnight hugs and forehead kisses from her mums. "Goodnight bug im so proud of you" Beth says lovingly giving her daughter a kiss on the forehead walking to the doorway leaning against the frame watching Viv say goodnight to their daughter. "Sleep well Leiverd love you always super proud of you" she says leaning down and kissing y/n's forehead and heading to the doorway where Beth was stood, switching off the lights and closing the door behind leaving their daughter to fall into a deep sleep.
