General pov
The dreaded thursday for the family of three came it was the day to say goodbye to each other whilst Beth and Viv headed off on international duty, Beth had tried to pull a string or two about y/n being allowed to visit once or twice a week but with the usual busy camp schedule that proved impossible. Unfortunately the matches meant that y/n couldn't see Viv's as they where so far away so she would have to settle to watch them on the TV however Beth's matches where much closer to their home in st Albans meaning y/n, Olivia and Ben would travel up to watch.

Meanwhile the normal chatter, laughter and cheeky comments that usually filled the house where silenced instead a gloomy, sad mood filled the house with y/n sat crossed legs on her parents bed picking away at her fingernails whilst watching Beth and viv gather their remaining items into their suitcase. Beth and viv where trying to lighten the mood by sparking conversations, "bug, how many times do you reckon Rachel and Millie are going to get told off by sarina" Beth asked their daughter, "I don't know maybe a couple" y/n replied quietly almost as if she was whispering afraid of speaking up further in case her voice would crack with emotion.

Vivs pov
I'd finished gathering my last bits and bibs together and shut my suitcase up before joining our daughter on the bed, I pulled her into a tight hug offering her the reassurance she so desperately needed. Myself and Beth both knew she was anxious about us leaving for international and had expected her current reaction this morning. Beth too finished packing and joined us in our cuddle on the bed. Nobody said anything each of us just taking in the calming moments of us before our departure. Our silence was soon broken by Ben and Olivia's arrival, "morning everyone are we all ready for an exciting two weeks" Ben shouted up the stairs, as soon as y/n had heard of their arrival her arms tightened around mine and vivs waist, "come on bug let's head downstairs and say hello hey before me and mum have to leave" reluctantly but quietly y/n got off our bed and slid her hand into Beth's before they headed down the stairs leaving me to haul mine and Beth's suitcase down. By the time I had made it down everyone was sat in the lounge y/n was sat on Beth's lap listening in to the conversation around her.

I knew before myself and Beth left we wanted to prime Ben and Olivia on y/n but also her activities whilst we where gone, "bug why don't you before we go, go and find me and your mum one of your tshirts or something for us to take with us so you'll be with us" my question was met with an eager nod and y/n running off upstairs, knowing her indecisiveness I knew it would take her a while before she re appeared down stairs. Beth understanding my reasoning for getting y/n to head off for a moment took control of the conversation, "thankyou so much for doing this for us, please just keep us updated and look after her please, I know you will but she's our little girl." Both Ben and Olivia promised us whole heartedly that they would look after y/n, I added to the conversation, "just watch her carefully please, give her space but not to much otherwise she'll overthink, try to keep to a routine she doesn't do too well when it goes, she normally heads up to bed at 9.15 and lights out by 9.30. She has hockey Sunday and Tuesday and obviously she doesn't know she's seeing Beth play on Wednesday. We've also made up your room in the spare room which you know where it is." After basically reciting off our daughters routine and calendar for the next two weeks, two cars pulled up outside our house.

Ben pov
I'm not going to sugarcoat it I was slightly nervous about being responsible for my 12 year old niece but I was yet to decide weather that was because I was in charge or whether it was the fact that if I let anything happen to y/n both my sister and viv would quite literally rip my head off. After explaining through her routine with me and Olivia I felt much more at ease about the whole situation, soon enough both Beth's and Vivs taxis rolled up outside the house, Beth called y/n down so her and viv could say goodbye. Y/n reappeared back in the lounge with two tshirts in her hand passing one of them to Beth and the other to viv. My sister pulled y/n into a hug, "right bug our taxi is here, I love you very much always ok, I promise to speak to you every night before you go to bed and text you throughout the day when I can." My sister told their daughter, the tears where rolling down y/n's cheeks it was evident that she wished she didn't have to part with her parents, it was then Vivs turn for her goodbye. She too pulled y/n into a big hug and giving her a pretty similar speech to Beth's but including the usual mum sayings that every mum says before dropping off their child to a mates such as; be good, remember your manners. You get me.
