The statement

General pov
By the time they had arrived back at the Meadema household y/n was still fast asleep on vivs shoulder, so viv scooped her up and carried her inside with Beth closely following behind with the bags and Steph upfront opening the doors. When they walked through the front door they where met by Beth's dad and brother Ben aswell as Katie, Caitlin and Leah. They all shared a smile when they saw a sleeping y/n in vivs arms. Viv and Beth whispered a hello and told them they'd be with them shortly as they carried y/n upstairs to her bed which was located next door to their room, they put her on the bed and tucked her in under the duvet Beth placed her teddy with her and giving her a kiss on the forehead, and they left y/n to sleep leaving her door ajar so they could hear her easily if needed.

Leah pov
Beth and viv head upstairs with sleeping y/n we all hold a silence momentarily when they leave not an awkward one but a comforting one knowing that the girls where back home and most importantly y/n was safe. "There good parents together aren't they" Katie pipes up with we all agree me especially, Im so proud of these girls and who they have become and who they have brought y/n up to be, the 3 girls are like my family especially y/n I see her as a little sister and like Beth and viv do I want to make sure to protect her and no harm comes her way. Ben quickly starts talking about all the rumors of y/n before they come down, "I wonder what they are going to do about the rumors I mean the photos of them in the hospital isn't on, are they best to address it or ignore it?" It was a valid question one I couldn't answer myself, "they mentioned briefly about a statement in the car but I'm not 100 percent sure" Steph answered. Our small conversation was broken by the sound of Beth and viv coming down the stairs we moved onto a different topic knowing it probably wouldn't be something they wanted to talk with us about right now. "Hey guys" Beth said coming over giving us all a hug followed by viv, we all stayed chatting for a bit everyone departing slowly until it was just me Beth and viv, "I'm going to head of you guys but if you need anything, anything at all please don't be afraid to ask whatever the time or day. Guessing no training tomorrow for you guys." Beth gave me a big hug "thanks Le for being there no training for us tomorrow want to keep an eye on y/n and sort out a couple of things, I think we are going to homeschool her but we need to sort it all out but of course we will do our home workouts.", "Beth you don't need to explain yourself to me we all get it honestly family comes first always, you take care guys" I say as I leave, leaving the three of them in the comfort of their home.

Viv pov
Me and Beth watch as Leah leaves returning to our lounge as we fall into the comfort of the sofa, which was much needed after these last 2 days, we sit in silence Beth watching the tv and me on my phone I go onto social media only to find the ongoing mass of rumors circulating about y/n I sigh and switch my phone off placing it down on the sofa. "You ok vivi" Beth asks me concerned placing a hand on my thigh, "it's just the rumors about y/n there everywhere I just wish I could have protected her better from it all why now, we've managed for 14 years", i explain to beth with frustration growing in my voice, "I know it's hard I hate seeing it all too perhaps we are better off putting out a statement asking fans just to be respectful" Beth offers, I nod in agreement this was probably the only way we would calm down these rumors especially as y/n hasn't been on her phone in these last 24 hours and the last thing she needs to see is all of this. So that's what me and beth do we sit down with our laptops and start writing it.

General pov
Beth and viv take about an hour to come up with the perfect statement one that was professional and well written that got there message and wishes across to the fans. They posted it across Instagram and attached a family photo of them all.

The statement
To all our fans, both myself and Viv want to address the circulating rumors questioning if we have a daughter after videos where taken of us leaving a school facility with a child and photos taken hours later of us in hospital. Me and viv are happy to share with you we do have a daughter, y/n meadema. Like all mums we wanted y/n to grow up in a forgiving environment one where mistakes are mistakes and not judged but also an environment which allowed her to find out who she is as a person and we both agreed that doing this in the limelight and scrutiny of social media and the fans of football was not possible, our daughter is our world and we wanted to and still want to protect her from the effects social media can have on you, with myself and viv both very understanding off this having gone through it ourselves. However sharing this information with you does not mean that we will accept any form of abuse towards are daughter, we ask if you see her out in public or at a game then you do not harass her for a photo or any information she is only 14 years old. So we ask that you give us as a family privacy to allow us to spend time together. Myself and viv are more than happy to take photos with you at games, camps or in public we just ask our daughter is not brought into it. For those of you who I am sure will want to know we will share insights into more of family life as 2 mums but we will draw the line when it comes to any harm of our daughter.
Secondly we would like to address the pictures of us taken in hospital, whilst we think that it was inappropriate to take photos of us and bombard us with questions when in a hospital, and as much as we want to ignore it and not bring light to the situation which we know is the aim behind the photos being taken, we will speak about this as I would like to shut down the false rumors that are gracing the internet currently. Unfortunately our daughter fell ill Monday morning and had to be taken to hospital to be examined later that afternoon, after a scary 24 hours we are happy to report she is back home safe and sound and currently resting, we would like to thank our teammates and friends for their love and support we couldn't have made it through without your help. We now hope that you as humans will understand and allow us to have the privacy with our daughter, we wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you at the next game.

Beth and viv posted it and they immediately felt a weight lifted off their shoulders, within minutes there notifications started going crazy with love and support from family, friends and fans with the occasional hate comment but they where lost in the thousands of positive comments.

Many of the girls and Arsenal aswell as the lionesses sharing the post, the support system that they had made Beth and viv feel much more at ease, the cuddled up on the sofa for a bit longer before eventually calling it a night before heading upstairs to go to bed, viv went to check on y/n only to find the teenager staring wide awake at the ceiling. "Hey bug you ok?" Viv asks gently going over to the big double bed that her small daughter lay in, "i just can't sleep mumma everything keeps going around in my head and it won't switch off" y/n says quietly slightly embarrassed. "It's ok it's been a hard 2 days for us all how about for tonight you come and get in bed with me and your mum". So that's what they did viv carefully helping y/n walk to their room which was only next door before lifting her onto the bed. Viv and Beth getting in either side of her and wrapping her up in their arms, luckily Beth and viv had a big bed it was still a small squish but one that was comforting and soon enough they all fell asleep together in a loving embrace.
