Regulus and the chocolate factory

A Night in Paris

December 6th

(HERE IS WHERE WE LEFT OFF!!) " of course take all you need!" He said as he held out his hand. She took a single sovereign leaving him with one as-well. As he went on his way he flipped his last coin and it missed his pocket and fell right into the drain, now left with no sovereigns. He then continued to walk until he found a bench... As regulus sat down on the bench he saw a dog. It ran up to him and started to bite at him, he was quite scared of dogs ever since the accident.. no need to know about that though, regulus tried to get the dog off him but then he heard a man yell down you mutt. (Forgot the dog's name so Im leaving it up to the comments to name the dog since he will show up again!) it was a tall man probably in his 30's but he looked much older and nastier than that. The dog sat down and the man apologized, regulus stated it must have been his pants since he took them from a mail man(to disguise himself) and that it wasn't a bother.

"What are you doing out here anyways?" The man asked.

"I'm sleeping here" regulus said as he got out a cup and some hot chocolate making stuff from his hat.

"You'll be frozen to death by mornin ya know." The man stated as if it was obvious.

"No it's fine. Plus I have no sovereigns left." Reg said kinda sadly as he then looked at his hot coco that was frozen.

"Boy, do I have a place for you, Follow me." The man said with a horrid grin.

The man took regulus to a small shop on the corner of a street, it was small and "cozy" looking and was lit up by one street light. The man knocked on the door and the little mail flap opened up to show a woman who looked to be in her late 40's.

"WHAT DO YA WANT, IM BUSY!" The woman yelled.

"Oh Mrs. scrubit you have a visitor." The man said with an even bigger and scarier grin than before.

"OH, well why didn't ya just say so! Come in come in!" Mrs. scrubit (how imma spell it bc I can't spell 😭) said while opening the steel doors.

The place looked rather inviting other than the people and reg explained his situation. He was told it was fine and that he would have until six tomorrow to pay off his room. He agreed and looked at the contract which the lady provided. He thought it was a bit weird but the muggle world was not his strong suit so he went with it. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a little girl maybe about 12 or 13(we ain't gonna give them NO chemistry bc in Wonka it looks like they are gonna kiss every few minutes 😭😭) she said something about fine print but regulus didn't listen and decided to just sign the contract.the woman thanked him and showed him to his room. Regulus went in and changed his clothes to his Slytherin ones. He went to sleep for the night. At around 2:00 am he woke up in a cold sweat and breathing in a fast pace. Regulus got nightmares often, Sirius too, regs were just worse than Sirius'. At Hogwarts regulus would just walk around the castle and end up in the astronomy tower, and somehow he always saw James there. It had become a nightly thing for regulus, have a nightmare and then go to the tower. James wasn't always up there when he got there but eventually he was. Every day. It made regulus realize just how much he loved James fleamont potter. His brother's best friend. How could he come to this. Falling in love with potter. (Omg bigger than the whole sky by Taylor swift just came on and it makes me so sad so y'all are getting some angst.) Regulus knew he would never admit it. He used to get beat and hexed just because he had the thoughts of boys being pretty. His parents knew he was gay, every day they asked him and if he said yes they would use an unforgivable curse. Regulus learned to keep in his feelings because of that fact. He kept everything to himself. He wouldn't even tell Pandora. Yet, somehow in someway, James potter made him want to say everything and more, make him confess all his love and thoughts. He made him so happy, sad and anxious all at once. Regulus sat alone for the first night in 3 years. Not in the astronomy tower and not with James. He sat alone on his windowsill and cried. He hated the fact that he was gay. "Why was I born this way!" He thought to himself. He cried knowing that even if he told James, the potter boy would always choose Lilly Evan's. Regulus ended up crying himself to sleep still sitting on the windowsill, and tear stained cheeks. As regulus woke up that morning all he could think about was James. He brushed his teeth and got dressed, walked down the stairs and out to the shops. He wanted to get his mind off of James so he made a bit of chocolate and went to sell it. When he Got to the shops and showed people his chocolate (which he used magic on) they lined up to get some. With each person who bought a chocolate another would be added to the people flying up in the air. Regulus used a simple flying spell in the chocolate recipe and people clearly loved it! But of course everything has to go wrong. A cop came and told everyone to get down and that regulus got a complaint of disruption.

"You have a complaint about being disruptive, I'm gonna need to take your earnings." The cop rushed.

"Yes sir. Would you spare me one so I can pay off my room?" Regulus questioned.

"Fine. Here." The cop gave him a single sovereign and walked away.

"Thank you-" he left before reg could finish.

Regulus walked back to the "hotel" and once he entered he was bombarded by Mrs. Scrubit. She asked how it went.

"Not as good as I hoped." Reg said with a sad smile.

"Oh well it's time to pay your room Mr. Wonka." She stated.

"Right here you go." He gave her the sovereign.

"Afraid that won't be enough Mr. Wonka. You see the fine print clearly says that for every thing you use you have to pay a fine for it." She said smirking.

"I'm afraid I can't.." regulus says.

"Then you are to work to pay off your dept. 10,000 sovereigns that is."still with a smirk on her face she makes the tall man from before get reg and put him in the laundry ramp. To be continued...

I'm gonna end the chapter here but more will come soon! Also I have officially published the first chapter to my other fic! It's a band au for marauders!
