"Happy Birthday!"

Chan slumped across the cafeteria, eyelids heavy and shoulders dropped. He barely had enough sleep the previous night since Byeol woke him up at midnight, wishing him a happy 19th birthday before proceeding to celebrate until half past 1 in the morning. He kept a smile on his face as he approached his friends at their table, sitting down beside Jeonghan. The boy was about to speak, when a series of yells erupted from his friends. Now that explains how he ended up with a party hat and a slice of store bought cake in front of him, curtesy of the seniors.

(let's pretend the legal drinking age in korea is 18 instead of 19 because throughout the whole story chan had been drinking💀 I completely forgot the fact the chan is a year younger than 1st years bc he skipped first grade)

"You guys are late." Chan shook his head jokingly, but stopped when he saw the confused faces of the others. "Byeol noona greeted me at midnight." He held a triumphant look on his face. Mingyu pouted.

"I mean, obviously. She literally lives with you-"

"-You were still awake, and live streaming Roblox with Wonwoo and Hansol when I went to sleep. And I slept at 11:40 pm. You could have greeted me or something. Point?" Chan raised a brow as he crossed his arms, looking a bit too cute for the guy behind him.

Seungcheol smirked from across Chan, gesturing his head to something behind him. "Seems like your boyfriend wants to give you something."

Chan widened his eyes, slightly choking from his water. "What boyfriend-" He got cut off from Jeonghan suddenly turning him around. "Oh."

Standing tall behind him was Wi Seojun, the freshman whose sister 'saved' Byeol, a handsome smile on his lips. He scrunched his nose to fix his glasses, which made Chan grip his crossed arms tighter. "Hi Lee Chan! Happy birthday by the way. I got something for you." Seojun's eyes creased, handing the younger a paper bag. Almost immediately, the table started cooing.

Chan seemed to be lost in his own world, admiring the boy in front of him. Seojun's hair that reminded Chan of dark chocolate, his favorite, and the big round glasses that pulled the look altogether. And his face. Don't even get Chan started about his face. Although, he did think that Seojun's exterior really didn't match his personality. He looked cold and egotistical, but acted loveable and cute.
