"Do you like Byeol?"
Seungcheol threw him a disgusted look, slapping the back of his head. "T-that's like liking a- a sister! Hell nah!"
"Okay..." Jeonghan looked down, aw...
Lee Byeol set down her book, a warm smile on her face as she faced her younger brother from the couch. Her smile fell when she noticed his state. He had scratches on his left arm, the left side of his face, and both his knees. "What happened?"
Lee Chan propped up his skateboard on the rack beside the door, sitting beside his sister. "Some sh*tfaces-" "No swearing." Byeol poked his forehead.
"The kids at school removed the screws from my skateboard. Then they fell off when I ollied off the sidewalk. " Chan pouted, slouching his back.
It was always like this for him. The kids would play pranks on him from time to time. Heck, they weren't even pranks. It was way worse. And then they thought, for the cherry on top, to tamper with Chan's favorite thing; his skateboard. "Are you sure you don't want me to call dad? I can even go to your school if you want-"
"It's fine. Also, Seungcheol-hyung helped me go back home." Chan smiled. Byeol's ears perked at that, having no memory of this 'Seungcheol' person.
"Who the fu-" "No swearing, Noona."
She sighed, "Who's this Seungcheol you're talking about, hmm? Is he a friend?"
Chan shifted his position on the couch, facing his sister properly. "I just met him today. He gave me a ride on his motorcycle. He's so... cool."
Byeol smiled at Chan, glad that he was at least able to get home safely. She called one of the maids to treat Chan's wounds, while she went to get them two cartons of apple juice. Unfortunately, there was only one cold apple juice in the refrigerator. There was a spare one which was still in the pantry, but it was still room temperature.
Chan sat down on the stool as Byeol threw the juice at him. "That one's yours." He caught the carton of apple juice. It was cold, and the condensation made it slippery, making him drop it on the floor right away. Byeol ran into the pantry, taking the remaining apple juice.
Chan ripped off the straw, punching it into the straw-hole. "Is that cold, noona?" He asked when he saw her ripping the straw from her own juice box off.
"Don't mind me. Uh- you have homework right?" Byeol sipped on the apple juice. Chan nodded as a reply, still eyeing the juice in her hands.
"You gave me the cold one on purpose.. but these are your favorites." Chan said sullenly, tilting his head at his sister. Byeol faked a smile for him nevertheless, ignoring his comment.
"I said don't mind me. Go work on your homework." She ruffled his hair from the other side of the kitchen island, throwing her empty carton in the trash can. Lee Chan sighed as he watched his sister retrieve her book and go upstairs to her bedroom. "I don't have homework.."
