Alexander invited me over to his mates house. Although I've been here before, this time feels different. There's something about it that feels off, not in a bad way, just I don't know. Alexander seems happier which makes sense considering he's living with his mate. I've never seen him this happy, granted I haven't known him for very long but still.

I need to tell him everything that happened yesterday. But I'm scared for how he'll react when I tell him I helped dad. Dad did hurt Jason's mum after all. This is all so messed up and I just wish our parents were who we thought they were.

When I'd got everyone out we framed the scene to make ot look like Alexander escaped naturally. If anyone was going to break through their restraints then Alexander would be most likely. Yes he was weakened by the wood but it doesn't have the same effect that silver has on wolves. Meaning he could've escaped theoretically. It would've been a long shot but could happen. Dad tried to make sure he got all the wood out Alexander's wrists which is why it took so long for him to get out. Looking at Alexander now though, you would've never guessed that less than a day ago he was dying.

"Micheal and I realised the scent was no longer there in the direction we were headed. So, I said to him that we should go and see if you guys have found anything. He agreed– well nodded ish, it's hard to explain as he was in wolf form. Anyway, we went back to where we split up then headed in your direction. Except this time instead of smelling just Jason's mum we could smell both yours and Jason's blood." I give Alexander a moment to process. He looks more pale than usual if that's even possible.

"How long were you and Micheal searching in the other direction?" Alexander asks, he probably wants to know how quickly his situation escalated.

"We were looking for around twenty minutes, making sure to comb through every possibility. Then as soon as we figured out her smell just got weaker we left. We saw that metal opening in the forest, Micheal stepped on it and howled when he burned his paw. It was clear to us that you guys were down there. The leaves were freshly scraped away and your footprints were still present in the mud. As it was silver dread instantly filled me, because Joshua and Jason wouldn't be able to go down there of their own accord. At first we were still dubious, I had an idea that you opened the latch then they could've climbed down once in human form, but as soon as we saw the ladder we knew it was silver."

"Okay, so that's how you got to us. If you want you can skip the getting us out part and just tell me about dad?" Alexander asks, from his tone I don't think he wants to relive how he got out or at least isn't ready to yet.

"Dad was apologetic, he didn't know about Jason being your mate. Mum kept that from him. As soon as he knew he wanted to help. He doesn't care about him being a werewolf or a guy, he just knows how much you wanted to find your mate. Seeing you and Jason in pain was killing him, but he also knew that if mum found out he helped you escape then she would kill him. So, I uh... helped him, made it look like you guys escaped without the help of dad."

Alexander stands up and starts pacing. His hand pulls through his hair, "YOU DID WHAT?!"

I jumped back at the sound of his voice, I had no idea how he'd react but he looks like a fretful mess. All I want to know is what's going through his mind, so instead of speaking and possibly making the situation worse, I wait for him to speak.
