The full moon seemed ages away. Until today. Jason and I are packing up our things to go away to the cabin. It was a little awkward at first with the Alpha knowing but this past week he has really warmed up to our relationship. Jason was trying not to be too affectionate to me at first so as to not to rub it in the Alpha's face. I thought that was quite a homophobic stance but it was more about the vampire thing instead of the whole being gay thing.

We packed up our bags yesterday ready to spend the whole week together. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited. We're going a day before the moon starts taking proper effect and I'm hoping tonight's the night we fully mate. I'm adamant on telling him that I want it to be with just him not his wolf. Our first time together should feel special, should feel right.

Although the effects don't really start until tomorrow I have noticed Jason being a lot more flirty and wanting to touch me more. I'm not complaining though, I feel exactly the same. It may just have been his excitement but there was probably some weird wolf magic involved. This past week all we've been able to focus on is going away and what we're going to do. It's all planned out however I'm sure some of those plans will be scratched, opting instead to stay in bed together.

Jason is loading up the boot of his car, his mum and dad are watching us from the front door ready to say goodbye before we leave. We only have a few bags as it's just a week but we wanted to make sure to bring some food with us in case we didn't get to leave the cabin. That included some pre-prepared meals for Jason then some blood dishes he made for me– he doesn't want me to feel left out from eating with him and he has since apologised for the day he shouted at me for drinking in the halls. It was pretty stupid to drink around a bunch of humans but the only other option was to risk ripping one of their heads off.

The boot is loaded up, Jason's parents come down the steps to say goodbye. Michelle embraces Jason in a bone crushing hug, she may not look too strong but she sure as hell is, that extra wolf strength is never going to be a waste. His dad says bye to me, kindly shaking my hand. He flinches a bit with my cold touch but I'm used to it. Michelle however moves on to wrapping me in a hug as the Alpha pats Jason on the back saying his goodbyes. Jason's mum lets me go saying one last goodbye.

We get in the car Jason messaging his brother one more goodbye before he leaves. He didn't want to come out to say bye saying it was too cringy and we'll be back in a week. But I know Jason worries about him, Joshua has been a little more open since Jason found out he's gay. I think there's a certain understanding of safety between the two.

Jason hands his phone to me knowing I'd want to choose the music then starts up the engine. Choosing a playlist of mine that I've also downloaded on his phone I then place it down. Taking in the trees passing by the pack house. Looking over to Jason I admire the curves on his face and the way his smile pulls on his lips. He holds out his hand to mine only releasing it occasionally to change gears. We stay like that talking the whole way knowing that when we get there our relationship will be solidified.

Arriving at the cabin my breath is almost taken away (almost only because I can't breath). There's foliage everywhere with a cute cabin hidden away. The privacy here is insane but that's a good thing. Jason's dad also told us there weren't many wolves around this part which is good because if enough packs were around they could not be the most happy with this pairing. When we drove to the cabin we went through a small town and I've already seen one of the bakery's Jason wants to go to.

Jason looks just as shocked as me, "Have you ever been here before?"

He turns to me with a smile lacing his lips, "Not since I was a kid, there's a lot more greenery than there used to be. Mum sometimes comes up here to do some gardening as a little get away but she hasn't for a while due to educating some new pups. We prefer to homeschool pups when they're young then put them into formal education to adjust around humans. Anyway, let's grab the stuff and head in." He looks a bit embarrassed by how much he went on and my heart goes out to him.

Wrapping my hand around his, I pull it close to my lips giving his hand a delicate kiss, "I love hearing you talk about your pack." Jason blushes harder at this but his smile says more than any words could.

We get out of the car and grab our stuff out the boot. Nervous excitement radiates from both of us as we walk up to the door. I'm holding more bags than Jason so he can find the keys. He looks at me as he fiddles with the lock, not even moving his eyes to see what he's doing. We both turn at the click of the door, the anticipation rising in us both.

Jason heads in before me, giving the place a little once over. He seems relaxed as he smiles enjoying being back in this cabin. There's a cosy fireplace with wood near it ready to burn. The sofa is a plush deep green perfectly matching the forest outside. There's a large rug with a coffee table between the couch and the fire making the room feel cosy and lived in. Walking inside with the bags I drop them down quickly to finish taking it all in.

"Do you like it?" Jason asks, his voice sounding hesitant, I have no idea why when this place is paradise.

"Like it? Have you seen this place? It's like a magical living room, the design is so homely and looks so much like nature," I gasp.

"Haha, glad you like it," Jason says, coming over to me. He places a quick kiss on my lips but as he pulls away I pull him in closer. My mouth presses deeply against his and he groans under my touch.

Jason smiles against my lips before pulling away, "As much as I want to continue that we should at least close the door and get our bags in the bedroom."

I lean into his chest laughing softly, "I suppose so."

"Come on. The sooner we get sorted the sooner I can do all the things I've been longing to do to you," Jason says with another bad wink. I snort but kiss him quickly muttering that I can't wait. With that we go to grab our bags.
