My brother's mate is collapsed on the floor. There's a bunch of different chains around him making my stomach whirl. He better survive this, he has to after what Micheal and I have done. As soon as we figured there was nothing in the direction we went we turned around. However by the time we got here it was difficult to know what was going on. That was until I smelt an overwhelming amount of my brother's blood. I'm trying not to think about the state he is in behind me but it's difficult when he is all I can smell. I already got Joshua out, following Jason's instructions. However from the looks of how loopy Jason is he didn't notice.

When I came in the first thing I did was threaten my dad. It felt wrong because he's done so much for me and from where I was standing I had no idea what he was doing to Alexander. After having him pushed up against the wall with my hands around his neck he explained he was helping him. Of course I was dubious at first, this is the man that kidnapped Jason's mother but he explained how he'd never deprive Alexander from his mate. From the way he spoke he sounded truly genuine.

He told me that my mother is back at home, something about planning the next stage. She threatened his life, him helping out Alexander is going to kill him and although he probably deserves it I can't let that happen. He gave me a second chance at life so the least I can do is do the same for him. But right now my main concern is Jason, if Alexander comes out of this alive (or as alive as a vampire can be) then it needs to be with Jason by his side.

Micheal has headed back to the pack house, he is insistent on getting help. At first I tried to argue with him because of the nature of Jason and Alexander's relationship but at the end of the day this is the future alpha's life at risk. We'd also need help bringing back all four of them as that task would be impossible between the two. Not to mention the prospect of mum coming back. Joshua is currently alone outside and though it makes me anxious, Micheal will be here in no time. As soon as the pack comes to guard the perimeters I'll feel better.

Going as far behind Jason as I can, I inspect the silver clasp around his wrists. Grabbing the chains I pull them apart snapping the chain. Now he's not attached to the wall by his wrists, I move onto his legs. Though there is still metal holding him in place my main priority is moving his body out of here. The chains on his legs were a bit more intricate making my job harder.

From the entrance through the floor I can hear some wolves nearby. Relief floods my system as I realise that Micheal got a lot of the pack. Someone comes down the ladder leaving me confused as I thought only wolves were coming. Wolves wouldn't be able to go down the ladder– it's pure silver.

"Hi, thought you could do with some help," standing there is my mate and I'm so thankful I could kiss him right now. Part of me wonders how he knows I'm here but I try to scratch that thought out my brain, he probably tracked me or something. I'm still not that used to being a supernatural being and he's been around way longer than me so I try not to go too deep into questioning the logistics. If I did , I'd probably spiral.

"Hey babe, can you help undo Jason's mum," I manoeuvre my head towards the wall, showing the woman starfished in chains. He nods then moves over to the other side of the wall. Making sure he's doing as I said, I then look back to Jason. He looks so helpless and weak, it's fascinating what silver can do. With my new vampire strength I can break the leg chains with relative ease. Then pull his body away from the wall, he's heavy and it's difficult despite being stronger than ever. His eyes start to flutter but then close again, his face pulling in a painful contort. As I look at him I try to think of how to get him up the ladder. I did manage with Joshua but he's only fourteen and a lot less built than Jason.

Pulling him I manage to get him to the base of the ladder, part of me wonders if this would be easier if he was awake, probably would be because right now I'm dragging a dead weight. Putting my arm around his waist I try to drag him in the most uncomfortable position known to man. When he wakes up and is alive he better thank me for this.

After pulling a miracle in being able to get him out of the hole, I'm met with a bunch of werewolves staring at me. They're all in wolf form and I would be lying if I didn't admit that it is terrifying. They're all glaring at me snarling when I was the one who just saved their future alpha. I wasn't expecting a party or anything but I did kind of just save the future of the pack. Micheal is the only one there in human form, it's weird no longer seeing him as a wolf, I found when he couldn't speak he acted a lot nicer to me.

But he's over near a tree checking over Joshua. Joshua looks so frail compared to him and although they were in there for just over an hour the silver has really affected him. He wasn't cut up like Jason was and though I'm still not sure what is going on its clear mum knew about the mating bond and hated Jason even more than before. When I met my new mum she seemed lovely, one of the nicest people I'd ever met. She was clearly cultured and sophisticated. But now she seems like a homicidal maniac. I'm wondering what would've happened if Alexander and I wouldn't have been brought in. Things would be different for sure but probably not for the better. For the most part they did help us, when you first get turned into a vampire you want to kill everyone and anything in sight for a fix of blood but they taught us to control our thirst.

Trying not to focus on how much it looks like the wolves want to maul me, I hand over Jason to who I think is the Apha. He's a bit larger than the rest of the pack and was the one closest to the opening. It must be killing him knowing his mate is inside yet not being able to reach her. Nodding to him as a signal I then head back down.

Inside I'm met with my dad, he has Alexander in his arms and hands him over to me. I just carried one unconscious grownup up the stairs and didn't fancy taking another one. But if I asked my dad to take him his head would get ripped off as soon as Alexander's body hits the floor. Holding my brother in my arms, his pale face looks so delicate in this state. He still has the stake in his abdomen because it can't be taken out without him laying flat, preferably with a blood source nearby. There is also the risk of splinters being left in him, if they move through his body and pierce his heart he's dead. Taking his frail body I make my way up to the entrance. Every movement I make is calculated, the slight thing going wrong could mean Alexander losing his blood, or worse his life.

When I get back up and place his body on the floor, I'm met eye to eye with the alpha. He has shifted out of wolf form and seems to be trying to help Jason. Jason is responsive but weak. Micheal must have brought some clothes and supplies with him as the Alpha is dressed and trying to give water to Jason. Looking back down into the entrance, I go back in to take my last trip...
