It took 36 minutes for Peter, MJ, and Jake to get from the Baskin-Robbins in Queens all the way to 797 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, New York. 797 9th Avenue was the address of Murdock, Paige, and Walters, Attorneys At Law. Once they made it, Jake asked, "so this is the place where your lawyers reside at?" Peter nodded and said, "yep. Their address and phone number was on the card Matt gave me when I met him. Come on in." The three went into the office, wishing Karen Paige a good afternoon. Inside the office of the attorneys were the respective defense lawyers themselves, Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters, AKA Daredevil and She-Hulk. Now Matt was wearing his usual blue dress suit with red tie and dark red sunglasses, but as for Jennifer, given her 6'7 muscular frame and green skin, it was not easy for her to find clothes that could fit her oh so large physique. She spoke to her tailor after the confrontation with Mysterio to make her new clothes for her large frame and now big feet. Her tailor told her it would be a week until they could make her brand new clothes that could fit her. The best Jennifer could wear right now were a hooded sweater and sweatpants, and the sweater barely reached down and revealed her long belly and six pack abs, as well as most of her long muscular arms, barely covering her shoulders. Her sweatpants barely reached her knees, and as for shoes? Until Jennifer could find size 20 shoes, she would have to be barefoot for the time being.

"Jennifer, while it's not uncommon for defense attorneys to every now and then take a prosecuting position in a trial, are you sure you want to be the prosecutor in Quentin Beck's trial?" Matt asked, concerned for his partner and friend. "Matt, Peter and his friends and family aren't the only ones who have been impacted by Beck and his cronies," defended Jennifer, "Jessica and her unborn child could have been killed when Riva attempted to murder us when you all visited me at the hospital. If anything, our lives have been impacted by Mysterio, both professionally and personally. Peter could have died when Riva shot me, hell, I almost died because of Beck! While I don't mind being like Bruce, I will have to live with this alteration for the rest of my life. Trust me Matt, Quentin has made this very personal for me... I am 100% sure that I want to prosecute him at his trial." Matt sighed and smiled, saying, "well who am I to stop you from fighting for what you believe is right? I'll support your decision Jennifer, and I'll be sure to witness the trial." Jennifer smiled and said "thanks Matt. I'm glad to see your support. Oh hey Peter, hey MJ."

"Hey everyone," said Peter. "Hello Peter, hello MJ," said Matt, "who's your friend?" Matt was wondering who the third unfamiliar heartbeat was. "Oh he's more of an acquaintance," said MJ, "this is Jake Phillips Jr, turns out his mom was one of the jurors at Peter's trial." Jake perked up and said, "hello it's nice to meet the both of you. Especially you Miss Walters, I'm a big fan of your cousin, I read up on a lot of his scientific papers in college." As he shook both their hands, Jennifer smiled and said, "well it's nice to meet you too Mr Phillips. You wouldn't happen to be related to Colonel Chester Phillips from SSR, would you?" Jake nodded and said, "he's my great-great grandfather." Jennifer nodded and said, "I was wondering why the Phillips name sounded so familiar." The Phillips family was well acquainted with SHIELD. In fact, Jake's father was one of the few SHIELD employees who was not a double agent for Hydra. He was human resources for SHIELD. "So you wanted to tell us something about Mysterio, right?" Peter asked Jake. "Oh right!" Jake said in realization, "it all started the morning after you were released from jail, Peter. I was doing my usual morning walk when I happened to walk over to the street where the old abandoned ACME building was..."

One week earlier, Jake's point of view...

While I was walking on that said street, I stopped to see how many steps I'd taken. Suddenly, I saw a drone flying into a building that looked like it was condemned years ago. I got curious and I decided to go into the building to see if what I saw was real. The moment I was inside, I saw around 30 or 40 drones flying around, and I recognized them because I had seen news pictures of Beck's drones, alongside the live coverage of your trial. Before I could comprehend what was going on, suddenly I heard a gun click behind my head. I turned around and I saw Quentin Beck wearing some of his Mysterio costume, holding a gun against me. The gun looked to be a Nagant M1985. "You know who I am. If you try and turn your back and run away, I will put a bullet in your head before you get out the door," he threatened, glaring at me with an insane hatred in his eyes. "You-you- you're back from the dead??" I stammered, frightened. "Never died to begin with," corrected Quentin, "although I was very close when it came to flirting with death. But it looks like it's your turn to flirt with death, because you just made a very fatal mistake..."

"Please... Please don't kill me!" I begged, scared that I was gonna get killed. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't," threatened Beck as he neared the gun to my head, "you could sabotage my plans with what you just did! And I've had enough meddling already thanks to that brat, Spider-Man..." As I was wondering what would happen next, Beck gave an evil smile and said, "oh relax. This gun doesn't have any bullets." My relief was short lived as Beck continued, "Yet. Let's play a game." He got out a bullet and put it in his revolver and closing it, spinning the cylinder. "Ever play Russian Roulette?" He asked menacingly, and he placed the gun against my gut. "Let's see if you'll be able to walk out of this one," he taunted as he pulled the trigger and-

*CLICK!*

No bullet. "Lucky on the first go," said Quentin, "but let's see if your balls will be lucky..." He placed the gun against my groin and pulled the trigger.

*CLICK!*

"Looks like you got lucky again," said Beck, "but I doubt you'll be lucky a third time." He then held the gun to the right side of my forehead. Quentin pulled the trigger...

*CLICK!*

No bullets came out a third time. "Alright boy, you got lucky," said Beck, "now here's what's going to happen. You get to walk out of here alive. But if you ever tell anyone that you saw me in here today, I will find out. And I'll find out where you live, who your friends and family are. And then I'll kill you. There will be no place my drones can't find you. Wherever you go, I will find you. You understand me?!?!?!" I nodded quickly and said, "I swear, I won't tell anyone!!" Quentin glared at me and said, "get the hell out of here."

"After that, I ran outta there," concluded Jake, "The reason I never told anyone that I saw Mysterio sooner is because I was afraid if I ratted him out, he'd find some convoluted way to kill me!" Matt listened to Jake's heartbeat. Although his heart was going fast due to fright, he could tell that Jake was genuinely telling the truth. He nodded at Jennifer and Peter as if to non-verbally tell them that Jake was in the clear and was telling the truth, which Peter and Jennifer understood given Matt's unique abilities. "So I guess you're not the only one who was impacted by Mysterio," said Peter, "believe me, a lot of Beck's tricks almost killed me, so I know how you feel. And I can understand why you would be afraid that Beck could send one of his drones to stealthily sneak in and spy on you. For all we know, Beck could get all of us killed to ensure there are no witnesses and he can get off due to a lack of witnesses." Matt frowned and said, "which isn't uncommon sometimes. It's rare to happen, but it sometimes does."

"Well anyway, I know I'm risking my life telling all of you this," said Jake. "You told the right people Jake," commended Jennifer, "especially since I plan on prosecuting Quentin at his upcoming trial." Jake then bravely said, "then I want to testify against Beck as a witness when we're in court." Jennifer smiled and said, "sounds like a done deal. Now I'll need to speak to the courts about my position with the trial due to how recent my decision of prosecuting is, but if you speak to Miss Paige and give her your contact information, we can inform you further of when the trial is and what paperwork you need in order to sign on as a witness to the trial." MJ smirked and said, "look at you talking about law business in just some sweats and a sweater. Aren't you a little worried that Beck might find a way to make sure you die under mysterious circumstances, Jake?"

"Oh I am," said Jake, "but due to my family's connections with SHIELD, he's going to try and hire a bodyguard who will protect me before the trial starts in case Beck tries to send his cronies to do his dirty work."
