Epilogue

A lot can happen in two years. Months after Quentin was convicted and imprisoned and Jake started his romantic relationship with Yelena, an elder Steve Rogers approached Yelena and offered her a position on a team of Avengers with Sam Wilson, Peter, Daredevil, and She-Hulk. Yelena felt honored that Steve would consider her to be on a team that Natasha co-founded, and she accepted the offer. Jake was fully supportive of Yelena being an Avenger, which gave her a great purpose to be a true hero. She even got a better paying job as a martial arts instructor. She and Jake were able to balance their professional lives with their personal romantic live, and the romantic relationship was beautiful. When Jake wasn't attending college and Yelena wasn't doing heroic works, they would spend time together as a couple, and Jake would accompany Yelena in visiting Natasha's grave. After two years, Jake finally got his veterinarian degree and graduated college. His newfound friends, his family, and Yelena were all there to see Jake graduate, and they were all proud of him.

It was a week after Jake's graduation, and Yelena had just gotten home after a mission in her brand new Black Widow jumpsuit. Waiting for her was Jake, who was playing tug of war with Fanny. Yelena saw the two playing and said, "hello my beloved." Jake smiled at his girlfriend and said, "hey babe. How was your mission with The Avengers?" Yelena sat down next to Jake and said, "it went well. We were able to stop The Spot. And he may have a silly sounding name, but trust me, Spot was a pain in the ass to defeat due to his many portable holes. You wouldn't mind giving your girlfriend a foot massage after such a long day, would you?" She placed her feet on Jake's lap, and he said, "Of course I wouldn't mind, my sexy Russian." He took Yelena's boots off and started to massage her bare feet, much to Yelena's pleasure. Jake was quite good at giving Yelena foot rubs.

Several hours later, Jake and Yelena finished having macaroni and cheese tuna casserole for dinner and they also had some Russian chocolates for dessert. Jake then said, "hey Yelena, how would you like to slow dance to a romantic song together?" Yelena gave an intrigued look and asked, "really? Which song?" Jake got out a CD and said, "I was thinking of Beauty & The Beast. The original pop ballad version sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson." Yelena smiled seductively and said, "You are a man of good taste, Jake." She then let her long blonde hair down. Jake put the CD in the player, and got to the specific song. That's when the pop version of Beauty & The Beast started to play for Jake and Yelena. Jake offered his hand, and Yelena took it, putting her bare feet on top of his feet, and the couple started to slow dance to the Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson duet. Jake felt safe in Yelena's arms while dancing with her, and Yelena felt on Cloud Nine in Jake's arms. During the romantic Disney duet, Jake would sometimes twirl Yelena around, causing her to giggle sometimes. "You're quite a good dancer, Mr Phillips." Yelena said in a flirting manner. "Only because I have the best dancing partner," said Jake, "we truly are Beauty and the Beast."

"If anyone calls you a beast, I'll knock 'em out," joked Yelena, she and Jake shared a laugh. Eventually, the song came to its conclusion, and as the song got to its final notes, Jake then kissed Yelena on the lips, and Yelena returned the kiss as well. When the song ended, Yelena said while lovingly stroking his face, "I love you, Jake Phillips Jr." Jake smiled and said, "I love you too, Yelena Belova."

Although their life wasn't totally like a fairy tale, they lived happily ever after.
