It was several days since Yelena saved Jake from being killed by one of Mysterio's drones. And during that time, she and Jake made some adjustments to the windows in Jake's house, putting bars on them to make sure no drones or assassins would try to sneak in. Jake didn't protest to this because he knew that Yelena was trying to make sure he was safe, and the bars on the windows were just a temporary thing until Quentin was successfully convicted. Jake and Yelena were at a grocery store, getting some more food, and they were at the pet aisle looking for food that Fanny would like.

"Do you think she might like these Beggin' Strips?" Yelena asked. "I'm sure she will," said Jake, "What dog doesn't love a bacon flavored doggie treat?" Yelena smiled, getting a large bag. She couldn't wait to see how Fanny would positively react to such a tasty dog treat. Suddenly, big hands forcefully grabbed Jake from behind, and before he and Yelena had any idea of what was going on, he felt a big muscular arm restraining his chest and shoulders, and it was unnaturally strong, stronger than a man on steroids, except multiplied by 10. The other arm held a 10 inch machete against Jake's neck, and Yelena gasped. The Caucasian skinned man who was holding Jake at knife point was 6'2, unnaturally buff, had short black hair with a black mustache, bluish green eyes, and he wore an unusual garb, his vest looked like it was made from the corpse of a lion, and he was wearing gold fur pants and brown combat boots. Jake tried to get out of this man's grip, but the man said with a Russian accent, "struggle all you want, it won't do you any good. You'll be dead before you can say a prayer."

"Who are you???" Jake asked, scared that this was how he would die, at the hands of this stranger, he was hoping Yelena would save him. "Not that it will make any difference to you, but my name is Sergei Kravinoff," said the Russian man, "but most of my enemies and clients call me-" Yelena glared and finished, "Kraven The Hunter. Freelance assassin for hire." Kraven smirked at Yelena and taunted, "ah... So you know of my reputation as a Russian Boogeyman. I didn't think I would be in the presence of a second-rate Black Widow."

"Second rate?" Yelena asked, offended, "who I was under Dreykov's control is irrelevant. I ask you nicely this once, let Jake go, now." Kraven laughed, "You think I will just let my prey go with begging like that? I refuse to spare my prey today. Stay out of my way malyshka, or you'll be joining Jake as part of my prey." Jake was trying to avoid the machete touching his throat as he said while struggling, "just shoot him, please Yelena! Shoot him now!" Kraven glared down at Jake and said, "you'll be dying in a pool of your own blood from your throat before she can even get out her gun. No one will save you today, mladshiy."

"Wanna bet?" A familiar voice asked as Kraven's machete was snatched away from him with webbing. Suddenly, Kraven's eyes were covered in the same webbing. Kraven growled and struggled to get the webbing out of his eyes, cursing in Russian. Who caused that? Why it was Peter Parker, in his civilian clothes! "Spider-Man?" Yelena asked with surprise. "Just Peter Parker, regular civilian for now," said Peter, "You weren't kidding when you said you needed a bodyguard, Jake. This your girlfriend?" Jake ran to where Yelena was and said, "oh she's my bodyguard. She actually saved me from one of Mysterio's drones a week ago. We're not a romantic couple. But she is a certified ass-kicker." Yelena looked at Jake and said, "Jake, get out of the store and run. Peter and I will handle Kraven. What do you say to a team up, Spider-Man?"

"Sure, why not?" Peter asked as Jake ran out of the aisle while also trying to make sure other people were evacuated. Yelena got out her escrima sticks, and she and Peter then lunged at Kraven, fighting him! Yelena had fought many tough opponents over the years, and Kraven was no exception to a tough fighter. Kraven would punch and kick, so Yelena and Peter would definitely be feeling those punches and kicks in the morning. "This dude is almost as tough as Thanos," commented Peter as he kicked Kraven. "Don't hold back," warned Yelena, "his source of strength is from herbs that enhance his strength, speed, agility, and stamina, he will not hesitate to kill you!"

"On that, you are correct," said Kraven, "but look at you, you think you're so great. Don't make me laugh, you'll never be as good as your so-called sister Natasha. You're lucky to be considered second rate because you are beneath me! As for you Spider-Man, I was saving the pleasure of killing you for last. But who am I to say no to an early opportunity?" Yelena was angry with the negative comparison to her sister as Peter said, "gee, I'm so flattered you think of me that way." He and Yelena kept on fighting Kraven for what felt like eternity. He certainly wouldn't be knocked down. Suddenly, Kraven got hit on the back of the head with what felt like a glass bottle, the bottle shattering behind him. This was enough to stop Kraven in his tracks, leaving him confused. Who shattered the bottle on the back of his head? Why it was Jake! Kraven turned his back and glared at Jake.

"You hit me with glass bottle?" Kraven asked incredulously as he tasted the alcohol. It was vodka. "Not just any glass bottle, a bottle of vodka, y'know, for irony," said Jake. Kraven laughed in a condescending manner, "did you really think you could stop me with bottle of vodka?" Jake shrugged and nonchalantly said, "No. But it makes for a good distraction. You really shouldn't turn your back on your enemies." Suddenly, Kraven got electrocuted by Yelena's Widow Stingers at maximum blast, and he howled in pain until the electrocution knocked him unconscious. Kraven then landed flat on his back. "That was smart thinking Jake," said Peter. "Thanks," said Jake, "and I'm glad you were able to help us stop this guy." Peter shrugged and said, "well I was just in the neighborhood and my Aunt May needed more eggs. But man, if I had a nickel for every time I teamed up with a Black Widow, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's strange that it's happened twice. What do we do with him, Yelena?" She glared down at Kraven and said, "I want to get answers from this zasranets before we take him to the cops. Help me carry him Peter, I know a place in New York where we can interrogate this guy."
