Hope storms inside Dr. Saltzman's office. "Nothing?"
"I can't find her."
It's been a few hours since everything happened. After Lizzie found them and shared the details, they initiated a search for you. They scoured every possible place, and Hope attempted a locator spell, but there's no trace. It's as if you vanished into thin air. The twins, Emma, and Caleb returned shortly after Hope.
"Nothing," Emma announces.
"I should've been there with her," Hope laments.
"You couldn't prevent it, Hope."
"And what is this 'it' exactly? Can someone really explain what happened?"
"Y/N turned into a wolf, and now we have to find her before she eats someone. Keep up, Caleb," Lizzie rolls her eyes.
"He's right, nothing makes sense. She turned after the full moon passed," Josie says, her confusion evident.
"That's not the weirdest part," Caleb adds, capturing everyone's attention. They all turn to him, waiting for an explanation. "Come on, we all know how the werewolf curse works. You kill someone, and boom, next full moon, you turn into a puppy."
"I know what you're insinuating, and no, there's no way," Hope dismisses the idea of the possibility of you taking a life.
"But sometimes, it's not about what we want to be true. It's about facing the truth, no matter how hard it is to accept," Caleb insists.
In the tense atmosphere of Dr. Saltzman's office, Caleb's words linger, creating a palpable discomfort. Hope, already on edge, can't contain her frustration.
"What are you trying to imply, Caleb?" she snaps, her eyes narrowing.
Caleb, unfazed by her anger, raises an eyebrow. "I'm not implying anything. I'm just pointing out that sometimes the truth isn't what we want it to be."
Hope clenches her fists, the frustration boiling beneath the surface. "And what? You think Y/N killed someone?"
Caleb leans back, crossing his arms. "I'm saying we need to consider all possibilities. Werewolf transformations don't just happen for no reason."
Hope's jaw tightens as she fights to control her anger. "You don't know Y/n. There's no way she'd ever intentionally harm someone."
Caleb shrugs, "I hope you're right. But we can't rule anything out."
"Enough! We need to find her. We can figure out how this happened after she's back in her human form. I'll call Sheriff Donovan."Dr. Saltzman's stern voice cuts through the tension in the room.
"Why?"
"Well, let's see. We have a werewolf on the loose. What if she attacks someone? This is new to her; she doesn't know what she's doing."
Hope eventually nods, reluctantly agreeing with the practicality of the decision. She gets up and turns to leave to search for you.
"Where are you going?" Dr. Saltzman inquires.
"To find my girlfriend," Hope states with determination, but before she can leave, the twins step in front of her.
"You're not going anywhere," Josie insists.
"Not alone," Lizzie adds, echoing her sister's sentiment. Hope nods in acknowledgment, and together, they head back into the woods to continue the search for you. Hope can't shake the thought of how scared you must be, lost in the woods in this new, unfamiliar form.
Y/n'pov
This is the best day of my life. I kept running through the woods, feeling the cool air hitting my face. Everything feels amazing—the wind, the ground beneath me.
I've been running for what feels like days, or maybe weeks, or was it just half an hour? Who can tell anymore? I can't wait to share this incredible experience with Hope.
