Ch.5- The decision

Harmony's P.O.V.

"Who made baby Harmony cry? Loretta is going to hit them!" 'huh?' "Baby Harmony, can you stop crying?" I nodded and wiped my tears. "A- are you really.... Loretta?" I asked. "Yes! Loretta is here!" She exclaimed in a cheerful voice. "But how did you get here?" I asked. Then, from crying too much, I started to have hiccups. "Are you ok, Harmony?" Melody asked. "I'm fine, Melody." I spoke. then somebody handed me a bottle. "It's water, drink up." I looked at Melody and she looked frightened. When I looked up, I saw the duke 'Wayne Baldwin.' "you must be the daughters of that slave trader."

"It looks like the hiccups have stopped." he said, putting the water bottle away. "I deeply apologize, duke." I said, bowing down. "an apology for what?" "Well about my mother and your daughter-" Melody started, witch was quickly cutted off by the duke. " She did an illegal something."

"... yes" I answered. "There will be a deserved punishment for the crime." 'If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have gotten into this mess.' I thought. "Don't worry. I'll send someone on the day of sentencing your mother." my eyes widened. "What punishment are THEY going to give US? I asked, concerned. "Did you two propose your mother to do the slave trade?" the duke questioned. "..no...." I said. "Your mother said that she had 2 daughters to feed." "Even if she was wrong-" Melody said, before getting cut off by the duke again. "We shouldn't exaggerate." the duke told us.

"There will be no guardian, but accommodation must be provided." He paused for a second and said, "Follow me. I'll take you two to a nursery of the capital temple. It is a comfortable establishment with the support of the nobility." 'if we take the reward, we won't be able to see Loretta again' I thought, feeling sad. "Harmony, Melody? me and you guys, not it's a different home..?" "Loretta, please..." I said "Yes...Loretta loves Melody and Harmony very much. Do you love Loretta?"

"Yes." Melody answered. "Melody and Harmony loves Loretta very much." I said. "So we love each other!" Loretta exclaimed, happily. Then she turned to the duke and said, "Mister! You are a fool. Duke is a blessed lump." "...Blessed lump?" He asked, confused. "Uhh our mother told her that a lump of luck means a pocket of money." I answered. "...I see." "Yesterday, Loretta cried because Melody wasn't here. It was scary." Loretta said, pouting. I said, "We also cried, knowing that Loretta wasn't there." "Harmony and Melody is a baby, so it's ok to cry." Loretta said, patting our heads. 'SHE IS ADORABLE!!!' I thought. She then turned to the duke and said, "So, I'll go with her!"

Nobody's P.O.V.

That kid's first request was... to bring along the daughters of the slave trader to the mansion in the capital... However, the duke couldn't refuse... Loretta's request right away... because of what had happened last night... "HARMONY!" Loretta shouted. "HARMONY AND MELODY ISN'T HERE!" She said, crying and covering her ears.

Harmony's P.O.V.

"..What do you think?" the duke asked. "huh?" '... maybe I'll be able to remember what happens in the story if I do. Plus, I'll be able to be with Loretta.' "Duke," I said, "I want to go with Loretta." The duke hummed and asked to Melody, "What about you?" "I- I also want to go with her!" "...Alright"

Time skip

"I shouldn't have given you two the room that was shaking with Isaiah's sweat." She said, after packing us some food. "Oh, no, it was cozy." I said. "If life is difficult, come back here anytime. Everyone needs a home." Miss Merlin said. "I also have a favor for you two. If you see my son in the capital, don't forget to give him a honey poke (anybody know tf that is?)
