Ch.6- Arrived at the mansion.

Harmony's P.O.V.

I woke up in the carriage. When I looked around Loretta was sleeping on my lap, and Melody was leaning on me. 'I guess I have to stay still so they don't wake up' I thought. "you're awake." the duke said. "I apologize, I fell asleep." I said.

(ok ngl.. WHY exactly are you sorry for falling asleep?!)

"It's fine, we're almost there." The duke said. "...They both seems to like you." The duke said. "...Yes, and I'm happy." I said, giving him a closed-eye smile. "Um, sir duke? I wasn't sure if I should've said it yesterday, but Loretta doesn't seem to remember what had happened." I said, sounding concerned. "She told me that she didn't remember anything about her home, even about her mother... I mean about the madam."

The duke stayed silent, then said, "...Right." "it appears that she is afraid of the rain because the memory of the incident has left a scar on her, I didn't ask her any further because she might've panicked..." I said. "I think she needs time... So your name is Harmony. I owe you this one." He said. "...It must be difficult for you since you're her father." I said 

"...I'm not sure if she's my daughter." "Loretta is surely your daughter! She looks so much like you! No, besides that fact, that she looks familiar to you, she also shines just like you! Doesn't it make you happy just by looking at her when she sleeps?" I asked.

"...is there someone who would be happy about that?" He asked, with an emotionless voice. "SIR DUKE!" I heard a guard shout. "HIS MAJESTY THE EMPEROR IS URGENTLY LOOKING FOR YOU!" "I've been gone for a month, it's no surprise... You three should go first."

"Woah." I heard Melody and Loretta say. The door opened and the servants greeted us. "Welcome" they all said. "I heard the word from the duke. Dear lady Loretta, I'm Higgins, the butler." the man said. "I'm the housekeeper, Madam Higgins." the lady said. "I'll walk you to the mansion, Lady Loretta." the butler said, holding out his hand. 

"We won't be apart, right Harmony?" Loretta asked, gripping on my dress tight. "Don't worry, we'll also be there." Melody answered. When she left, the housekeeper said, "Filthy little girls. Get down, what are you two standing there for?" She asked. 

After all that.

'can I use this bathtub?' I thought to myself. Melody already took a bath, so it was my turn to. "Why aren't you  doing anything? Do you want to catch a cold? Hurry up and get in, won't you?" Madam Higgins said. "I touched the water. 'IT'S SO HOT!' I thought 'I should add cold water' "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Madam Higgins shouted 'did I do something wrong?' I thought

"You should've said something if it was hot, how can you pour water by yourself with those skinny feet?" Then I remembered that in the novel, Madam Higgins said that to Melody. 'Woooow I'm only getting useless info. thank you soooo much (sarcasm). "You can get in now, it will be fine." After I went in, she said, 

"Stay in there until it's the right time." "It's been so long since I got to bathe in such warm water." I said, quietly, but she seemed to hear it. Then she said, "I'll be leaving now, call me if you need something, or if you have a question." "Thank you madam." "Just call me grandma."

"Wow!" Melody and Loretta exclaimed at my night gown.

"How is it? Ma- Grandma gave me this to sleep in." "You look beautiful!" They shouted. "what did you think about the dinner she prepared, Loretta, Harmony?" Melody asked. "I never had stew with so much meat." I said. "It was delicious" Loretta said, yawning. 

"Loretta, you need to go to sleep, we're going to take a walk in the garden tomorrow." I told her. "Do I have to go back to my room? Can I sleep here?" She asked. "Of course, you can." Melody answered. "Also Loretta??" I asked. She hummed and I said, 

"Thank you for staying with me."

I woke up by the sound of the footsteps. Melody and Loretta was still asleep. 'I think it is uhh grandma, I should wake up.' I thought, but then I heard an unknown voice. 

"So ugly. This ugly and skinny thing... is she a member of the Baldwin family?"

'He must be Loretta's second brother, Ronnie Baldwin, but why is he talking to Loretta like that?' "Why is she sleeping here and not in the other room? It's rare for me to come for a morning greeting like this, but she hasn't woken up." 'does he even know that Melody and I am here?' I heard a 'tch' from him and then he said, "Should I pinch her to wake up? Wake up, you hideous thing...!" I grabbed his hand. "Shhhh! They are sleeping!" I whisper shouted, and I don't know why, but his whole face turned red.
