Harmony's P.O.V.

"What are you doing? Say Hello to your mother." the elder said. "She wanted to see you. All you have to do now is to collect the fees and leave the capital quietly with your mother and you sister. As long as you don't hang around the duke's residence, we won't bother you or your family."

Then, my mother crawled and grabbed the cell bars and asked, "Earlier.... what did you say? "Harmony," she said with a smirk. "Did you bring money? You want to get me out?" She asked. Her voice creeped me out.

Meanwhile with Melody & Loretta

Nobody's P.O.V.

"As a result of confirmation by the temple, miss Loretta is the daughter of the duke." "Can Loretta and Melody see Harmony now?" The young girl asked the duke. And his answer was, "Yes."

When they arrived at the mansion, the duke asked, "What do you mean? Harmony is gone?" the duke asked the elders. "As soon as she received the money, she enthusiastically took it." one of the 2 elders replied. "You mean... she asked for the fees?" 

"Yes. She asked me for the amount. I was so speechless... She intended it from the first place... Where are you going, sire?" the elder asked the duke as he started to put on his jacket.

"She still has to be in the capital, and I shall hears what she says with my own ears whether the child really do want leave." he said. The elders panicked, then said, "Y- you don't take her away from her mother now, do you?!" "...What do you mean by taking her away." "S- she should be reunited with her mother in the center prison by now."

(Me: ...You do know that you just told him where she is, right?)

"It's illegal to take criminals out of prison with money." he said, hinting a little anger in his voice. Unfortunately, they couldn't take the hint that he was angry. "Right, but the girl who found you daughter... Don't you think she's too young to be separated from her parent?"

"...But Loretta want to see her..." "Don't worry about that. My granddaughter is about the same age as the lady, if become friends, you won't have to worry. She will forget that girl." "NO!" a voice shouted.

"I'LL NEVER FORGET HARMONY!" Loretta shouted. "AND DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME?" Melody yelled, appearing behind Loretta. "WHAT THE- WHY ARE YOU HERE?" the elder shouted. "Your grace, Miss Melody, Miss Loretta, and I would like to talk to you." said Madam Higgins, walking in through the door.

Harmony's P.O.V.

"The charge was given by your daughter in exchange for taking care of his daughter. Half of them is bribed to get you out of jail. Don't think you will get away with it just because we found your daughter early. The honor of the duke's house was tarnished by the entry of this lowly child. She managed to help the duke's daughter with those dirty hands until the end. This child is full of self-belief."

"...And where is the money you gave her?" the woman asked, with a creepy smirk crawling onto her face. "I need it to get out of here." she said. "I gave it to her." he answered. "W-when the elder dragged me here, I dropped it, in front of the duke's house-" I was immediately cut off by my mother who banged the bars of the cage. "YOU WHAT?" she screamed.

"...This is what I asked for. I'm sorry." the elder told the guard. "I think you are slowly losing your senses. You leave money in the hands of a child" the guard joked. "I don't get chased by time." he responded, sternly. "...I don't have anything in the minute, do I'll just call off this deal" 

"....Harmoney, you're lying, aren't you? The money, you have it don't you?" my mother asked. "I- I'm sorry." I managed to say. "...After all, it's right to lead the sinners to the right path." I knew what he meant. He meant that I belong in the cell like my mother, a sinner. I looked at the man, my eyes full of fear. "All of this was done by you, so don't blame me nor you mother." 

Then, my mother grabbed my arm and said, "Give me the money!! You want to sneak out of this place with your sister and your mother with the money, right?!" she exclaimed. When I looked into her eyes, I saw hunger for power, and anger. "IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU TWO IN MY BELLY, I'D BE THE FAMOUS MISTRESS OF CHRISTENSON BY NOW! YOU TWO IMBECILES RUINED MY LIFE!"

Few moments later (●__●)

The guard handcuffed me and threw me harshly into the cell.

(ok, why tf do you need handcuffs?)

"Get off the threshold and go in." He said, kicking me. "Ugh, why are you so slow?" then, I heard some footsteps. "Who's that." the guard asked, in an annoyed tone. "Shut your mouth up, or I'll cut it for you." I immediately turned around and there he was. The Duke.
