Harmony's P.O.V.

The guard fell to the ground. "Y- Your grace!" the guard stuttered, shaking in fear. "THERE HE IS" I heard a voice shout. Grandma came to my direction, still death glaring at the elder. "HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO A GUEST AND THINK IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO?" "...Guest? CAN'T YOU SEE THE EVIL LOOK IN THAT CRIMINAL?" he shouted back, making me flinch.

"HOW CAN THAT LOWLY THING BE CALLED A GUEST?-" "Oh my god, let's see the wound on your wrist." Grandma said, ignoring the elder. "Madam Higgins, Please leave first-" the duke started, only to be cut off by her. "Yes, I'll take Harmony by the carriage first."

"No, what I meant was to leave and wait outside." when I looked at grandma, she looked worried. 'Well, that's new' I thought. "...I understand" after that, she left.

"...Harmony," he said. "I deeply apologize, I couldn't realize this sooner. And you should take What you left behind." he said, handing me the money bag (that she dropped before getting taken away). "Yes, it's your choice. You could come out with me, where Loretta and Melody are, or you go with your mother and Melody. The money will be enough for the 3 of you to live together."

".... Your grace, the elderly told me what would happen to the future if I stayed at the residence. If it will come true, then I'd be ruining the future happiness for you and lady Loretta" I said, recalling what the elder has said.

"..I don't care about the future." the duke said, which made me look up to his direction, wide-eyed. "If you're not there, then Loretta will cry again tonight, the Higgins would be sad too..... I wouldn't be happy either."

"So if you make that choice, it won't make any of us happy." I looked down, thinking what to do. "DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE ME HERE." my mother shouted.

"My dear, as long as we have the money, you, me, and Melody can live a very happy life. Do you want to be stuck there? Doing that slave job? He has no choice but to feed and clothe you if you stay. Isn't that right, your grace?" she asked, with a (sick) smirk on her face. That was when I finally made the decision. "...let's go back first-" he started, but I cut him off. "I'm alright, your grace, I've made my decision." I started walking toward my so called "mother" "MY DEAR! MY TREASURE! I KNEW YOU WOULDN'T LEAVE ME!" "...mother-" "Have you tried opening the bag? Is there gold inside? My dear daughter, give me the bag."
