Ch.7

Harmony's P.O.V.

I was holding his wrist. Our faces were at least 5 inches apart, but I didn't care. His whole face was red. "You- wha-" He said. God, He was a red mess! "WHAT?" he suddenly shouted, pulling his wrist away. Then h.,lkoe fell down (bc of gravity :) 'Oh my! is he ok?' I thought "A- are you alright?" I asked, giving him my hand to stand up. 

"...You're the same. The kind of person who lies to get here..." he said. "Huh? What do you mean-" "GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM, YOU LIAR!!!" he shouted. "I can't accept the fact that people keep bringing strangers to make my father suffer anymore!" he shouted. Then, he walked out of the room.

'He doesn't like me. But I thought it'd be a few days later that we become enemies, or frenemies.' "Harmony?" Melody and Loretta questioned, rubbing their eyes. "My "Ladies" did you guys sleep well?" I asked in a teasing voice. "I'm Loretta, not a lady." Loretta huffed. "Is that so?" I asked.

Time skip to night time, bc Harmony, nor Melody was there when the maid was being... "unfortunate" if you know what I mean.

"Harmony, Melody, I have something to ask." "What is it?" "Can you guys teach me how to be good?" "Hmm...! first take a deep breath. And phew. Done!" Melody said. "Will the duke like me if I just breathe?" she asked. "It's because you look pretty even when you're just breathing." I said, giving her an eye-closed smile. "But why are you asking so suddenly?" Melody asked. "actually in the garden today.."

After telling us

"...So that's what happened." I said, hugging Loretta. "I need to... be acknowledged as the duke's daughter. So that you won't be... I can't let it happen" she said, crying. ".....Loretta.." Melody said. "What should I do? I want to be closer to the duke." "It's ok. I'm sure he loves you, but just doesn't show it." I said. "Let's go to sleep." Melody spoke. "Can you sing me a lullaby?" Loretta asked me. "sure!" I said. I grabbed a guitar, (Yes, she DID bring the guitar.) and started to sing

Melody and Loretta fell asleep again. I glanced at them, then I prayed to god, 'God, you have granted all my wishes, but, please let them avoid dangerous events. They are to young and innocent to go through this cruel world.'  Then, I went off to sleep.

The next morning

"This...!" I exclaimed. "The duke wanted to pay his gratitude to the 3 precious visitors for being interested in his garden" The butler said.

(A/n: Honestly, I think that the translation is really bad in the English version.)

"I'll wear this to the garden!" Loretta exclaimed, and I swear I saw her eyes sparkle. Then the butler said to Loretta, "I'll come pick you up at mealtime. You can run as much as you want." "...I would like to thank the duke." I said, "Will return late today." grandma said. "but I'm sure the duke would be happy if you used his gift." The butler said. 

Melody and I looked at each other and put our hats on. "How do we look?" Melody asked. "The hat looks great on you, Miss Melody and Harmony. Isn't that right madam?" "They look like baby sheeps wearing a high-quality hat..." she answered.

Time skip

I was eavesdropping on Loretta, the maid called Alta, and grandma's conversation. Until She shouted, "I WORKED SO HARD TO GET HERE! JUST BECAUSE OF A KID LIKE YOU...!!!" I got in the way before the maid slapped Loretta. "Don't touch the lady." I said.

Time skip to the next morning

All the servants were bowed down and we had a HUGE cake in front of us. "You were bothered in a place where you should be comfortable. That maid was fired right away." The butler said. "I apologize, I should've been more careful when hiring workers." said grandma. "Grandma! Can we eat the carrot cake?" Loretta asked. "Of- of course." she answered. "Can you guys join us?" I asked. "Let's eat together!" Melody exclaimed. "If we finish all of this, our tummies will blow up!" Loretta said.

Nobody's P.O.V.

Everyone was enjoying the cake. Little did they know, an unknown man walked by, watching all this. "It appears that even more ordinary things are brought into the mansion." the man said.
