Third Person POV
Despite the embarrassment both of them felt, Yuzuru and Sakura managed to go through with their plan to explore the streets of Pyeongchang. The pair barely uttered a word to each other, which made the atmosphere awkward.
Sakura, however, decided to break the silence as soon as she saw an old lady selling strawberry tanghulus. She ran towards the cart excitedly and asked for the price. Yuzuru could not help but adore his wife as he looked at her. Sakura's eyes sparkled with joy as she tasted the candied strawberries.
"Oishii" Sakura said in delight as the fresh taste of strawberry and sugar filled her mouth.
"You should have some" she offered him a stick full of the sugary delight.
Yuzuru accepted the treat and ate it without hesitation. Though he did not really consume sweet food because of his strict diet, he would never decline anything that came from Sakura herself.
"It's good" his eyes widened in surprise after taking his first bite. "It's sweet, I like it!"
"Ahh gomen ne!" Sakura immediately took away the tanghulu from his hand.
"Heyyy" Yuzuru complained. "That's mine!"
"I'm sorry Yuzu, I forgot you're not allowed to eat sweets." She told him and Yuzuru tried to take back the treat from her hand.
"Kkura-chan, give it back to me." he pleaded.
"No I won't!" Sakura replied. "You can't have them!"
"But the competition's already over!" Yuzuru argued as he continued to retrieve his candy from her hand.
In a split second, Sakura tripped over a rock and almost fell on her back. Yuzuru, who was in front, was quick enough to catch her in his arms, preventing her from falling. The pair stared at each other for a while before standing up properly and fixing their clothes.
"Y-Y-you can have them" Sakura turned pink as she handed the tanghulu back to Yuzuru.
"Gwiyeoun keopeur" The old lady said with a small laugh as she observed the pair. Yuzuru and Sakura could only look at her as they tried to figure out what she had meant to say to them.
It seemed like fate was really pulling its strings today. The two continued to roam the busy traditional market side by side when suddenly, a group of men bumped into Sakura, causing her to separate from Yuzuru. Yuzuru, being protective, decided to hold her hand in order to not get separated in the crowd. This only increased the tension that was already present between them.
Yuzuru would only stare at Sakura quietly whenever she would see cute stuff displayed at the stalls. He felt like he would melt as her eyes twinkled in joy and admiration. He liked seeing her happy with him.
"Yuzu" Sakura called him but he continued to space out while looking at her.
"Yuzu" she called again, but he did not hear.
"Earth to Yuzuru" she poked his cheek to get his attention.
"S-Sorry, yes?" Yuzuru felt his cheeks go hot in embarrassment. "You were saying?"
"Should we get the bracelet?" Sakura asked him.
Yuzuru looked at the bracelet Sakura was referring to. It was a couple bracelet, decorated with charms and jades. The thought of wearing the bracelet together with Sakura excited him.
"Sure" Yuzuru agreed. "It looks nice"
After roaming the market, the pair decided to take a rest and sat down on the bench facing a frozen lake. Yuzuru noticed that Sakura was feeling a bit chilly, and so, he took off the scarf from his neck and placed it on her.
