Yuzuru's POV
Today was tiring.
I wasn't able to see Sakura-chan after we went off rink since we then proceeded to have an interview after the awarding ceremony. I sent her a message to wait for me inside her hotel room instead of staying in the venue, and she agreed with what I said. When we arrived at the conference hall, we were told that the interview was only supposed to last for an hour, but to my dismay, here we were, extending it to almost two and a half hours already.
"Yuzu" Javi silently poked my elbow "You okay?"
"I'm just tired" I smiled back at him
"It's taking such a long time right?" he asked me "I wonder when it'll finish"
"Yeah" I sighed as I thought of Sakura-chan who was waiting for me
"Excuse me Mr. Hanyu!" A reporter called my name, and so I shifted back my attention to the journalists
"We want to know about your wife!"
"How is she?"
"Who is she?"
"How did you two meet? Tell us!"
"Mr. Hanyu, is it true that you-"
"My wife is fine." I told them "I'm sorry, but other than that, I will not be answering other questions related to her"
Oh when will this end? I'm tired already.
Sakura's POV
Yuzuru's late. It's almost eight already and he's still not done yet.
"I hope he's fine" I said to myself as I read the music sheet that I was holding. I sat down on the carpeted floor and started to overthink.
In three days, I will be back.
back to the stage that I've always feared.
The stage which caused me so much trauma and anxiety.
Will I be able to redeem myself? Will I be able to make them all proud of me?
What if I make a mistake?
What if I will only embarrass Yuzu? Infront of them..
What if...
With a sigh, I laid across the carpet. I looked up at the ceiling of the hotel room and brushed aside my negative thoughts. I was all alone and the only thing I could hear was my breathing.
I brought the music sheets closer to my face and stared at the piece before closing my eyes.
Yuzuru's POV
Finally, after how many hours of getting interviewed I arrived at the hotel lobby. I looked at my watch, only to see that it was already nine. Oh no, kkura-chan's been waiting for me.
"Hanyu-san!" I heard someone call my name as I went inside the elevator. It was her assistant.
"Going to her room?" She asked me and I nodded my head in agreement.
"Bring this with you" Makita-san handed me two large paper bags.
"What's this?" I asked.
"It's food. A mix of Korean and Japanese" She replied "Sakura has been waiting for you. I told her to eat something but she insisted to wait for you to arrive"
"Oh-" was all I could manage to say as the elevator stopped at our floor. I let Makita-san step out first and she led me to our hotel room.
"Here you go" she said, giving me the key card. "I'll leave you two in peace. Ring me if anything happens"
Makita-san went inside the room across ours and I was left standing alone the hallway. I unlocked the door and finally got inside our room.
The room was quiet, and so I placed the bags on top of the table and walked carefully towards the bed.
"Huh? There's no one here" I said to myself. "Where's kkura-chan?"
I saw a foot stick out on the floor and I panicked. I rushed over to see Sakura laying across the carpet. She looked like she was unconscious.
"Kkura-chan!" I frantically yelled as I scooped her in to my arms.
"No..no..no...please wake up, please wake up" I almost cried as I reached for my phone to call Makita-san.
"H-nghh...Y-Y-Yuzu?" I heard a faint voice call my name and I immediately turned my attention to Sakura. "W-what's g-"
"Oh! Thank God......Thank God you're safe" I felt tears stream down my cheeks as I pulled her closer to a hug. Sakura seemed confused at first but then gave me a reassuring pat on my back.
"Why are you crying?" She asked, wiping my tears with her thumb. "Is there a problem? Tell me"
"I thought you were dead" I replied. "I thought something bad happened to you"
"What?" Sakura asked. "Wh-"
"You were on the floor and I...I thought you fainted or something"
"Baka" I heard her giggle. "Should've checked whether I was breathing or not"
"Gomen ne" I apologized before standing up first to help her. "Why were you there in the first place anyways? Please don't do that again kkura-chan, it almost gave me a heart attack"
"I didn't notice that I fell asleep, that's all" she replied.
"Anyways, Makita-san got us some food" I changed the topic and we sat down on the chairs. I took out the foods from the bag and placed it on top of the table. "Sorry if I made you wait long. I thought the interview was going to be quick"
"It's fine and besides, I didn't want to eat alone anyways" Sakura replied and I looked at her face as she smiled widely.
"Wahhh...Sugoi! Makita-san got us a lot! Ooohh! We have a bunch or korean foods in here too! Sugoi!" Her face lit up excitedly at the sight of our food and I couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" She asked.
"Nothing" I smiled. "Let's eat?"
I shoved the tempura inside my mouth and it was delicious. The feeling of excitement was all over me since I haven't eaten these kinds of food for so long.
"Wahhh! I've always wanted to try tteok-bokki. I always see it in dramas and it makes me curious as to what they taste like" I heard Sakura say as she ate the food. "Oh wow! It's good!"
"You should try this Yuzu!" She said, holding out her chopsticks.
"Eh?" I asked
"Say ahhhh" Sakura gestured as she stared at my eyes. I felt flustered as I opened my mouth.
"Ahhh" I voiced. The tteokbokki was finally inside my mouth. It was sweet, chewy....and....
"You look red" Sakura pointed out and I felt heat rush to my cheeks even more. Yuzuru, control yourself!
"Spicy" Was all I could manage to say. To say that I was red due to the tteokbokki was a lie. The real reason why I was blushing hard was because Sakura fed me like a baby and I was too shy to admit that I liked it........
