Marianna was a beautiful girl, there was no denying it, with her rich olive skin, splashed with freckles, kisses from her past lovers. Her rich brown eyes that were so big and inviting they enveloped anyone daring enough to gaze into them. Despite the picking on she received for her hair when she was young, no one could deny her beauty, not even her friends, not even Isaiah.

As she finished getting ready, putting on a rich crimson dress, adorned with tassels and such, that complemented her hair, along with a nicer pair of shoes, she slipped down the stairs humming to herself as she grabbed her purse yelling out to Ronnie that she was leaving, not caring whether he were sober or even awake. The blossoming girl had a skip to her step and a sparkle in her eye as she pushed open the door of the garrison, receiving cheers from the bustling crowds of men. Everyone in town knew who she was, ever since she became friends with a Shelby boy, and since, everyone knew to respect her. But despite the expectations on the men of the town, even the people as a whole, to not mess with the Shelby's, the Blinders or their associates, many people in Small Heath grew fond of Marianna, even adored her. So as she entered the garrison, the men of the pub greeted her wishing her happy birthday and giving their congratulations and wishes of happiness. Marianna finally reached the snug at the back where her friends and their family waited for her. Although she wasn't family with the Shelby's, she had grown quite close with each of them, a different relationship for each. Ada was like the sister she always wanted, she taught her how to do her hair and dress properly, along with gossiping, Arthur was like her big brother along with Tommy, both extremely protective of her, John was the boy she had crushed on forever, although she knew it could never be and Finn, well Finn was just Finn. She stepped inside greeting each of them, receiving their well wishes, and she felt content, excited for a night of drinking, not knowing the priced she would pay the next morning.

The night was long and filled with many laughs, beginning as Marianna took the first sip of the drink Arthur had handed to her, each of them onlooking to see her reaction, which to their enjoyment was hilarious. "That is disgusting, I don't understand how you can all be addicts, I can't bare to take another sip", filling the room with the laughter of the Shelbys and Polly and Isaiah, Tommy responds "its a matured taste, that comes with pain", "yes maybe, but what possible maturity and pain lies with those to bastards" Marianna points to Finn and Isaiah who seem to be having some kind of arm wrestle under the table, causing yet another set of laughter to fill the small room. "Hey we are very matured, pained young men" Finn replies, a hint of pain in his voice, "if you say so boys" John snorts. The night was nothing short of fun, as the Shelbys continue to laugh, drink and make fun of Isaiah and Finn. One by one the snug grew quieter and quieter as the Shelbys and co filed out, deserting the night for their much more appealing beds. All that was left now was an extremely drunk Marianna, despite her complaints earlier, she managed to finish a whole bottle of whiskey. As a fairly drunk Isaiah and Finn stumbled out, an arm on each shoulder carrying Mariana back to the house on watery lane, all to drunk to navigate three seperate houses, they slump on the couch, floor and arm chair of the Shelby house dosing off.

"My my, they sure look they had a good night" the muffled voices in the background filled Marianna's ears as she began to stir and groan, "yes I can't imagine how late they got in" the pounding in her head grew increasingly worse and she sat up and rubbed her eyes, "I can, they crashed through the door making more noise than I would've appreciated" yelled John from the kitchen. "I would appreciate if you didn't yell so loud John, but hey we can't all get what we want, can we" Marianna groaned yet again as she stumbled to her feet tripping over a passed out Isaiah who was curled up in the floor rug. "Hey, who did that, I'm trying to sleep here" he mumbles frustratingly. She sighs and rolls her eyes as she passes a sleeping Finn and makes her way to the kitchen slumping on the chair as Polly passes her a tea, "here dear, it will help with the headaches", "thank you" she replies to the older woman, taking a sip of the warm drink and sighing in relief.

The day was not one she rushed into with great joy, as Marianna, Finn and Isaiah left the Shelby home, heading to the betting den to begin another days of work, not that they did much, being so young, there wasn't much two 14 year olds and 13 year old could do, but they still found use for the three kids. "How are you two so chipper, I feel as though someone has taken a drum and beat it in my brain", she groaned looking at the two pleasant boys. "I do remember that you both drank with me" she claimed recalling the night before, "yes but my sweet sweet Marianna we are pros, isn't that right Finn" Isaiah charmed "yes indeed, hangovers are for the week and pathetic" Finn joked, as the three continued to stroll down the street, greeting on goers. The three were rounding the corner, closer and closer to their destination, despite what she thought, as each step felt like hell, unaware of the car speeding past, yelling out the window "to hell with the peaky blinders". A loud bang echoed through the streets of Small Heath, followed by the screams of on lookers and the car speeding away. But that was all silenced, Marianna was off her game, not fully aware of her surroundings, too focused on her headache that she didn't duck like her fellow friends.
