As she stood in front of the burning wreck, her knees collapsed under the weight of her realisation, she was truely alone in this world. She crawled forward, gripping tightly to the dirt beneath her, fearful if she let go she would never reach her father. It took all her strength within herself to reach out for his hand, flinching at his cold touch. "They just left him here", she couldn't control as the tears poured out of her eyes, "he died alone". The hot tears stained her cheek, afraid of what she said, reaffirming what she saw in front of her, she couldn't bare it.

Marianna had never longed for anything, she didn't desire or wish, but in this very moment she would sacrifice anything, she would burn the whole world down if she could bring her father back. But this is why she didn't, wishful thinking was all it was, it stole time from you.

She reached across to her father's other hand, placing them both onto his abdomen, carefully closing his eyes, not before noticing his clenching fist, covering something is his palm. As she untangled each finger, it revealed a beautiful gold locket, the one she knew her father had been looking for, and he had found it.

The soft hand of Isaiah perched on her shoulder, shocking her out of her trance as she brushed him off, wiping her tears and turning back to where Finn and Isaiah stood, placing a kiss on her fathers forehead before standing up. "Your flask" she stated looking directly at Isaiah, as he pulled it out of his pocket placing it in her palm. She then poured the contents of it over her fathers body, grabbing the lighter from her pocket along with a cigarette, lighting it, taking a deep long drag, as she exhaled she felt as if she was letting go of everything. "Descansa eternamente en el amor padre (rest eternally in love father)" she spoke up as she threw her lighter to where her father lay, the flames erupting in her face.

Marianna turned away, waltzing down the hill and back towards town, not looking back, afraid that if she might she would never leave her father's side. The two boys followed behind her, as they knew the girl they had grown up with was gone, scared for who she would become.
