Your POV:

"You don't understand..."

"Stay away from me...."

"Just a nobody...."

"You thought I'd ever love someone like you?"

"AAAAHHHHH!" I yelled as I shot awake, the nightmare leaving my mind as sunlight filtered through the window. 'Fuckin dreams... what time is it anyways?' I thought. Of course it was early.

Oh yeah, I should probably mention that. I've had some form of a nightmare almost every night since the accident that cost me my parents. The ones about that are probably some minor form of anxiety or PTSD or something. Most of them, however, concern my exes. Yeah, you know the ones. As you can tell... none of them are ever pleasant to go through again, hence the depressing mood in the mornings. I don't sleep well anymore... if I ever did in the first place.

Anyways. Need a shower and some coffee, pronto.

It was now three days since I met with Tom and recorded my music.  After going over the contract with Rick and Shane, I signed it.  I made sure to keep the rights to my songs, music, and face, and agreed to a list of albums and an eventual tour after the first release.  I'd also been told that my idea about the acoustic album was promising, but I had to present it as a live show to an audience before the bosses would consider releasing it as a standalone album.  Today, however, was a big day.

Oh, why you ask?

Well, today is the day my song gets released and played live.  Around Seattle, Tom managed to convince the radio guys to play both Smells Like Teen Spirit and About a Girl, but across the USA the label was only promoting Smells Like Teen Spirit.  It was so surreal, I could barely believe it was happening.

Something else that was happening was Rick and Shane said they needed to talk to me today. That made me a little nervous. I was hoping they'd let me stay above the bar and not force me to leave, but I'd understand if they did... god forbid anything goes wrong with my situation I don't wanna bring their family into it.

Heading downstairs, I'm met with the sight of not only Rick and Shane, but also another man who I was familiar with from the bar.

Daryl was the leader of the local chapter of an infamous biker gang called Hell's Angels. (A/N: yeah I know, not very creative with the club name but whatever. Also brownie points if you can figure out where I'm pulling all the other character names from 😉) The local Seattle biker guys all reported to him, and the bar was one that they frequented often. He was a quiet guy, gritty, but honest for a supposed criminal and a decent guy to be around in a fight. He also seemed to know me through my parents, but nobody ever mentioned how exactly.

They looked up as I came in, and Rick looked a little apprehensive about something. I sighed, figuring I knew what it was about, and decided to let them talk. Rick spoke first.

"Hey kid. Three of us got to talking and, well... we think it's time you knew," Rick said. Shane nodded and then Daryl stepped up to talk.

"When I met you, I said I knew your parents, but that ain't the whole truth. I was friends with both of em. Your dad considered runnin with us back in the day, but he decided to fix em up instead of ridin... specially after he met your mom, had you n settled down," Daryl spoke in his gravely voice. I nodded along, unsure of where he was going with this but pretty happy they weren't booting me out of my place right now.
