I am just a person.

Reject, ignore me as long as you want

I'll let it slide, I'll let it haunt

For I am stronger than you know

A warrior heart, I'll never show

But the day you try to hurt me directly

You'll see a side you never thought I'd be

I won't let you stand a chance to do

A single wound, a single bruise

I'll kick you backwards, so, that you don't have a chance

To catch me crying, because of your advance

I refuse to be a victim of your spite

I'll stand my ground, I'll win this fight

The past is the past, right?

So am I, I'm not here to ignite

The flames of anger and hatred within me

I am a person, just like you, can't you see?

But do me bad, I'll be bad for you

Do me good, I'll be good for you too

I'll mirror your actions, I'll reflect your deeds

For I am just a person, with my own needs

I'll forgive you, since I am a person

But let's not do wrong again, it's a lesson

If you can't understand me, then don't try to

Just do the hell out of my sight, that's all I ask of you

For I am just a person, with my own flaws

I am not perfect, like everyone who walks

But I refuse to be a doormat for your feet

I'll stand tall, I'll never accept defeat

So reject, ignore me as long as you want

But remember, I am a person, not a haunt

Treat me with kindness, and I'll do the same

For that's how we should treat each other, without shame.
