Why do I keep acting?

The seats are empty, the theatre is dark.

But I continue to perform, with heart and soul.

For a fire burns brightly in my soul,

A flame of hope, that guides my sight.

The curtains are drawn, and the stage is empty,

But still I speak, with voice so fair.

For in my dreams, I see a crowd,

A sea of proud and loud faces.

The applause is thunderous, the laughter real,

The joy it brings, my spirit feels.

So I keep on acting, night and day,

For the show will be played in my heart.

The seats may be empty, the lights may dim,

But in my mind, the stage is bright and neat.

I'll keep on acting, till the end,

For the audience will bend in my dreams.
