Elegy
As the clock ticks,
the days and moments slip away,
So quickly but slowly at the same time,
Life feels like a dream and a memory,
And I feel the time has arrived to sing my elegy.

This elegy is for healing,
A song of gratitude,
For the love and light and hope,
I felt in my darkest times.
With my heart on my sleeve,

I express my gratitude,
For everything, for the good, the bad and the ugly,
For the healing I've experienced,

For the journey that has shaped me,
For the love that has broken and remade me,
For the wisdom and lessons I've learned,
For the heart that has found new light.

The journey of healing is one of pain and struggle,
It is also one of peace and growth.
From the heart of sorrow,
Came healing that gave me hope.

In this elegy I give thanks,
For every moment I felt lost and found,
For every tear that I've cried,
For every heartache and healing that I've overcome.
