It was the late hours of the night and all was still within the wilderness of Sanus. Packs of Beowolfs wandered around in their never ending quest for human extinction, Nevermores flew around in the sky, leading their children in learning how to traverse the sky, Ursas laid on the floor resting, and within the canopy of leaves, two avian figures flew nimbly within the air. They had traveled to many places through the wilderness of Vale together, both seemingly going to the same clear and coinciding destination. The first figure, a jet black crow, danced trough the branches with great agility towards what seemed to be a clear destination, if the human-like focus in its red eyes was anything to go by.

The other figure however would stick out like a sore thumb if any hypothetical observer would be able to perceive its presence. An owl-shaped creature made out of dull grey metal, its 'feathers' appearing more like misshapen daggers trying to take on the rough shape of feathers, two hollow black cavities where its eyes would be, and yet even without eyes they still conveyed a human-like intelligence. It had no claws, nor body aside from its head and two wings, yet even without these it still soared through the air in defiance of logic.

The avian object soared through the air in the same trajectory as the crow, following it at a steady distance of 15 meters, however, unlike the swiftness and finesse of the crow, the owl carried itself with great strength and boldness, like an immovable object breaking through leaves and branches with its metallic form clearing a clear path through the trees. Yet somehow, its path of destruction made absolutely no sound, and after the owl left a short distance it left no traces either. The owl itself also seemed to blend in with the nearby shadows, its form appearing like nothing more than a black silhouette obscured by the cold night sky.

The strange owl suddenly stopped, perching on a nearby branch on its non-existent talons. It snapped its head towards another direction within the nearby canopy and directed its empty gaze into the equally empty air.

Within its senses it detected a big burst of magical power coming somewhere from the southwest, like a large but fleeting beacon. It was something that ,considering almost all forms of magic had been crystallized into Dust, was easily able to get its attention. Looking back it directed its gaze towards a black and white map of Vale suspended in the empty air, before dismissing it and doing something rather shocking. Gathering both the energy around itself as well as its own internal energy, it directed both into the area on its side, directing it into forming the rough outline of another one of itself. This outline made of energy quickly stabilized itself before solidifying into an exact copy of the metal owl, at least, and exact copy on the outside.
